Levy denied these conversations were about selling equity in the club.

Doubt ENIc were ever really looking to sell to the Qatari's. At least not minority and not the whole deal yet.

Yeah I read the small print too but many fans will just see the headline numbers. I think enic’s problem is that a lot of fans don’t believe they put all the money back into the club and trouser it themselves. It’s said on here every week with little evidence.

They’ve blown it now as owners is their problem and everyone is fed up with them so they’ve zero goodwill with many and just aren’t trusted. They’ve just fucked up too many times and need to give someone else a go at running the club. But unfortunately they won’t.

Tottenham Hotspur have been named in the top ten of a list of the most valuable football clubs in the world, coming in above London rivals Woolwich.

It has been a disappointing season for any Tottenham fan this year, with poor performances and frustrating results leaving the North London club in eighth place come the end of the campaign.

That final position means Spurs will miss out on European football next season for the first time in a decade.

Not only is that a blow to supporters, and indeed to the club’s chances of recruiting top names in the transfer market, but it also has a considerable financial impact.

A report from The Sun recently revealed Spurs may have missed out on around £70 million due to their league placing and the lack of continental football next year.

Nevertheless, as a business, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is being run incredibly well. The state-of-the-art stadium plays host to various other events outside of football, and the club has plenty of big sponsorship deals, too.

With all this in mind, it should come as no surprise that Forbes list Tottenham as the ninth most valuable club in world football.

The report claims the club’s current value stands at $2.8 billion. It is thought Tottenham have a revenue stream worth $591 million for the last year, and an operating income of $152 million. Only Man City have a higher current operating income.

The teams above Spurs, in order, are Real Madrid, Manchester United, Barcelona, Liverpool, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain. North London rivals Woolwich sit in tenth place behind Spurs.

Tottenham have seen a 19% increase in their value since last year. However, the Lilywhites are still worth less than half of top club Real Madrid’s $6.07 billion valuation.

The challenge is that ENIC try to compete as a sustainable business whilst the club increases in equity and becomes profitable as an investment.

Meanwhile the clubs we are allegedly competing with are essentially spending that equity on debt to allocate in the transfer market.

Either that or Sportwashing but even then City’s sport washing is now paying back into a serious big club business model as they win year after year.

They have failed to win with their model, no amount of PR and press releases about “Identity” will help them win without investing no matter who the manager is or what the style of football is.
