Pointless graphic, pointless debate.

The teams that win in each league have the highest wage bills and spend the highest fees on individual transfers.

The club’s financial model under ENIC isn’t built to seriously compete with the teams that consistently win in the premier league. It’s built to be around the fringes and hopefully over achieve into the Top 4 as often as it can.

The stadium and training ground may be among the best in the world, the ambition to be among the really big clubs is yet to catch up.
And yet they still can't see this unbelievable.

And yet they still can't see this unbelievable.

It’s a pointless debate all round.

Not changing anytime soon.

Let’s just hope Postecoglou gets the team fun to watch with some youngsters coming through,

Personally, if there are academy kids, mixed with exciting young players and good football, I’m on board.

What will piss me off is Levy hype faking it like the budget is what it isn’t. Why are there quotes from Levy about backing managers on Romano tweets the day a new manager is appointed? Just fuck off

Bringing academy prospects through, is great and, should be encouraged no question.
But there has to be, that time when, Levy will need to invest big on the right player or two.
I'm not sure I trust him to do that, but in the meantime, let's see how we go, I'm not expecting much so, anything above that is a bonus.

100%

That's always where he falls down.

Without fail, every single top-tier player we have attempted to bring in, the transfer has mysteriously failed. Always very valid excuses.

Then he comes out with some shit today about managers being backed but the acquisitions didn't work out as expected. They didn't work because the players that were needed to push Poch's squad on were outside the range of transfers and wages he's got the balls to pay.

Couldn't the cunt have just left people alone to enjoy the break without coming with some quotes to remind everyone that he still thinks they are stupid?

Conte performed a minor miracle getting this team to champs league.

The following summer, our weakest position (RWB) was filled very late on by a 15 mil inexperienced 'club signing' who the manager rejected immediately.

Until Levy explains what the fuck happed there I won't take anything he says seriously.

Its a fucking myth that Conte spent loads of money here. That summer transfer window was pathetic for a “lets go for it” window. The squad was and still is severely weak from previous years of lack of investment including our league record of not signing a player in a summer window.

Half the players were either 4th choice, loans or players he didnt even want.

Get outta here with that shit. Go on, gerrrr outtaaaa hereeeeee

I think we actually spent less than WHU, so yes it does appear to be a bit of a myth.

Levy is a joke with what he is saying. We may have seen a dramatic increase in net spend since we had two windows of no signings but the problem is there was no plan when it came to how the money was spent.

There has been absolutely no consistency in our buying policy and I do not think under Levy there has ever been. This is the main problem that he is ignoring their is no plan.

It is like the leaks that we are going to a data driven system. This will not result in any cheaper purchases it will just be a guide where to look. The fact is the majority of clubs are going to be attempting to use data. This means like in Baseball and Sabermetrics it will become just as expensive way to recruit

I've said it before. The only people in the real world I know that want Daniel Levy and ENIC to continue are Gooners and Chavs, plus a weird group of besotted individuals dwelling on this forum.

Since Levy and Lewis hijacked our club, our biggest Rivals have bagged some 25 major honours between them while we've become a laughing stock with one carling cup over 15 years ago and where even the most successful managers in the game fail..... miserably....for the first and only time in their careers.

You can understand rival fans wanting Levy to stay... But our own fans ???

They must get off on humiliation or something. The football version of sexual masochism 🤷‍♂️

They were probably masturbating as Newcastles 5th goal went in

But we didn't win, when we were in it we were one of the favorites but our performances were embarrassing. West Ham finished on a high, we were topped by Brighton and Villa.

Who had the better season out of us and west ham ? And I remind you that we won nothing and are not in Europe.
We also got kicked out due to Covid which alot of our fans actually thought was a blessing in disguise.

Who had a better season out of us and West Ham? Well considering we have both been crap for the majority of it that's a tough one!!

Considering West Ham have finished 14th this season, winning a trophy is pretty remarkable. Have they really had a good season when they have got nothing right in the league this season. How much money have they spent? £45/50m on one player alone.

Winning this tinpot trophy has just covered up the cracks. They will most likely have another shocking season. They've gone from finishing 6th and 7th to 14th. That's not progress.

West Ham winning this trophy is like saying Calvin Phillips is a better player than Harry Kane because he won the Premier League by sitting on the bench for the majority of it.

It’s pretty simple the opposition fans know failure when they see it . The only difference is failure is painful for us and a cause for celebration for them . Our “take a bullet for Daniel “ posters on here really should reflect on why their views are more aligned with Woolwich and Chelsea fans than fellow Spurs fans .
