what a waste of money on players Conti didn't want or didn't need. lenglet instead of bastoni, that worked out!!! keeping Dier also another bollocks decision from Levy - stop fucking defending them from afar!! you have no idea, you really don't.
We as a football club are not geared to win, just be on the edge's. Levy is only concerned if we don,t make top 4 - this squad will struggle to be mid table.

Keeping all the mediocre/donkey players because Levy's asking ridiculous fees, there are players at spurs that should have been sold 2 seasons ago.
Charging extortionate prices for match tickets and season tickets
EIther every manager levy employed isn't good enough or Levy is the problem ? u tell me?

He didnt want Lo celso he wanted Bruno

Neilson and Saha - Harrys Redknapp's choices lol

We also got kicked out due to Covid which alot of our fans actually thought was a blessing in disguise.

Who had a better season out of us and West Ham? Well considering we have both been crap for the majority of it that's a tough one!!

Considering West Ham have finished 14th this season, winning a trophy is pretty remarkable. Have they really had a good season when they have got nothing right in the league this season. How much money have they spent? £45/50m on one player alone.

Winning this tinpot trophy has just covered up the cracks. They will most likely have another shocking season. They've gone from finishing 6th and 7th to 14th. That's not progress.

West Ham winning this trophy is like saying Calvin Phillips is a better player than Harry Kane because he won the Premier League by sitting on the bench for the majority of it.
So your answer is what?

The thinking is if a player comes to us the manager is backed.

Jol gets Rasiak, Defendi etc, "He was backed"
Ramos gets Pav and Bent. "He was backed"
Redknapp gets Saha and Neilson "He was backed"
AVB gets Dempsey "He was backed"
Poch gets Sissoko "He was backed"
Mourinho gets Gedson and CV "He was backed"
Conte gets Spence and Danjuma "He was backed"
Don’t you remember we signed other players for these managers too? Better ones? They not get a mention? Weren’t you talking balanced debates yesterday?

Yes I do remember we signed bette playersr, those signings in my last post show that the managers were undermine, thus not backed. I only showed a fraction of the bad signings.

No, the argument was Conte was backed.

To the level required to achieve the things Conte wants to achieve, he objectively wasn't.
£155m net spend over three windows. He’d said he’d need two more to get us “competing”. We were fourth when he went. Nothing to suggest he wouldn’t have had us up there after those other two windows if he’d given the slightest indication he wanted to stay here and see the job through.

I don’t believe for a second you were trying to show that managers were undermined. I think you were supporting your anti Levy stance by picking and choosing your facts to suit your agenda.

But you know better than I do what you were doing I suppose. Doubt you care if I believe you or not.

He doesn’t work like that though. He is a short term 1-3 season manager who takes an elite squad across the finish line then fucks off. The backing for a manager like that has to be instant if the squad is really short of the quality which it is. You cannot expect a manager who wants to win the title to do it with Lenglet, Dier and Sanchez.

£155m in todays market isn’t even that much, it is probably worth only half what it was 3-5 years ago. We needed with Conte to be temporarily the highest spend around to complete the squad instantly so he could win the title then fuck off. He is a win it now and fuck off manager not a project manager.

I think there are just different views on what a "big spend" is nowadays in the Premier League.

While I’m sympathetic to the point you are trying to make, the fact that you left off so many players that we purchased isnt really helping the argument. Very often it was the timing of purchases, bad fit, and frankly some underperforming players that was equally as bad for us as lack of purchases at times.
