IF the stuff about Patagonia is true (and I have no idea if it is) - Lewis doesn’t seem too different from a murderous/PoS third world dictator. Anyone actually do any research into the allegations? IF true - worst of both worlds sounds about right.

It's a moral minefield though. And something football fans shouldn't have to worry about. Pretty sad that football is becoming morally bankrupt.

TIGER CUP WINNERS 2023.

That’s what I’m talking about!!

No more negative shit about no trophies. Winners today. Every last man.

Who’s up for getting matching tattoos to honour the occasion??

Read American laws on the crime he’s being accused of

Not sure what that means in relation to the tweet. Would American laws have jurisdiction over the Premier League's satisfaction for owners?

From Matt Laws Article

"The Premier League have confirmed to Telegraph Sport that they are satisfied that Lewis is not part of the ownership of Tottenham and that he has nothing to do with the running of the club."

The PL does not want to be in the business of seizing its member clubs, nor does the British government want to be in the position to force them to do so against megawealthy "investors".

The Abramovich situation just didn't give them any other choice. It won't happen again.

The Lewis trust situation is a canard, but its a workable canard.

Premier league have rules , we are talking about laws . It’ll be up to the American legal system to decide whether or not there are any shady dealings between Lewis & THFC. Didn’t these lot go against another football federation…. fifa

I’d like to see the premier league stand up against them , sponsors , NFL , F1 would be overjoyed

Abramovich was sanctioned . He wasn’t accused of anything , regardless how right or wrong we think that is. Lewis is in the shut & the dates include ownership of THFC

This is not Naughty boy territory

The point is, it was a situation in which he could not be in control of a Premier League club, that was just immediately not a viable situation to exist. It was literally like Nike is not allowed to pay them or deliver them shirts type stuff, the business could not operate.

Lewis is fucked on a personal level, but it doesn't impact Spurs in the same way.

I dunno, I think it's a mistake to think this situation will ride to the club's rescue. If anything it may make the club harder to sell.

Regardless, they should.

So of all the shady owners we currently have in the prem, the ones you would like to see the prem stand up against the most are the ones of the football team you support?

If he’s found guilty the US law has every right to seize assets , fine $5m per offence & 20 years for each & banned from being an CEO,, officer or owner of any public company . As the dates apply to before the handover. They can see fit to punish accordingly.

Football fans don’t need this shit . I think their time is up. The sleaze & corruption of very greedy people have tarnished the clubs name.
