We never used to lose our best players in the past…
You would need to go back to the days of Bill Nicholson. We were a top tier club that signed top tier players and when those players left us it was because we were done with them.

The classic example is Jimmy Greaves. Signed in 1961 for a then record £99,999 and sold to West Ham in 1970 in part exchange for the £200k Martin Peters. By that point, Greaves was past his best and it made sense to trade him for the best locksmith player in the game at that time and play Chivers and Gilzean up front. It bought us a few more years at the top and I'd say 3 trophies in 3 seasons vindicated the decision.

In truth, we probably lost that status when we were relegated in 1977. We bounced back with Ossie and Ricky but we were no longer the Big Fish and we started losing players on their terms rather than ours.

I think accusing people.of being something they are not creates division
I think people are so fed up with Levy that they want to vent their frustration, by arguing with them you're coming across as defending Levy even when you say your not, so you are self divided.

Why not just give them an agree tick and move onto reading another post if you want Levy out too?

It’s the Levy/ENIC thread.

Exactly.

If we can't post about Levy and ENIC on here, then where can we?!

As almost everything about our club is decided by them, really we should be able to post comments about these fuckers on any thread and not be called out for being OFF TOPIC.

Which according to some on here is almost as big a 'crime' as racist and homophobic posts.

:mourcheeks:

Anyhoo, our owners are already letting down the new manager. There is still over a month to go in the transfer window so time yet to give us some hope.

The way I understand it is threads such as the summer transfer thread are for discussions about the actual players coming in or going out, rather than the machinations of Levy/ENIC.

Yeah but without the owners agreeing fees and wages, there is no transfer news.

Criticising or praising their overall transfer strategy is entirely relevant and not off topic.

If there is no news (like at present), people will ask why and it's not Ange stalling on all these potential deals is it? He's not haggling with Bayern or Wolfsburg.

So if we're not allowed to talk about Levy and ENIC on the Levy/ENIC thread then where are we?

Seems some want to stifle the debate simply because they don't like or agree with what is being written.

Tough. Shit.
I hate Levy as much as any cunt on here, but I'm not obsessed with the cunt enough to feel the fucking need to list all his failures all the time....we know what's he's done, it's not as if we have Alzheimer's and need to be reminded every 5 minutes...

Fair do's and I appreciate this exchange. I get their frustration and why they receive it as 'defending' Levy, but that is a them issue not a me issue really. Im clearly not defending levy have stated as such numerous times but there is a reluctance to read, ingest and understand what I am trying to say. That is coming from a place of indiscriminate hate for another person and not because of anything I have actually said or done.

Why, can these posters not just skip past my posts and not respond with bald cunt this and tight cunt that? Why am I not allowed to vent about the state of Spurs message boards online being bombarded with this super negative vibe that makes it so no one is allowed to enjoy anything positive about Spurs without it being jumped on.

It has to work both ways. Would gladly let people vent to their heart's content but some of this shit is beyond a good old vent and I think you know it.

This is exactly what a Levybot would say :gallashmm:

It doesn't offend me, it bores my fucking arse off...

Then pray tell, what the fuck should we be talking about on the Levy/ENIC thread?!

If it bores you, go to another thread. After all, this isn't the only one open for comments.

Your argument makes zero sense apart from another attempt to shut down criticism of our owners, crooked owners as well because if you don't think the Lewis family are as bent as the old man here are some magic beans I'd like to sell you.

Some people are so polarised with their views too which is a distraction. I fucking despise Levy and would be elated if he stood down, he’s an utterly incompetent exec and is a massive hindrance HOWEVER he’s done a lot of good for the overall FC, some real smart moves and the growth in revenue is a great achievement. He excels at certain aspects, but none of them relate to football operations

Not understanding the point /argument. Time for an upgrade to your program Levybot and put “you” on ignore.

Why is it whenever a Levy outer can't argue their case in good faith they have to resort to "Levybot"?

On ignore. Oh dear whatever shall I do.

I'll never understand the childishness of people who have to say "I ain't speaking to you no more" rather than.....well, just not speak to them.🤷

Absolutely agree and I have appreciated your balance in these discussions too, mate.

We are where we are today because of our owners, I appreciate them for the good times and also am frustrated at them for letting things stagnate out of pride, incompetence and sheer delusion at times.

We need something different to help us take the next leap, we all know and want it.

Yes well I think we all know that but I reckon the idea is to make those posts in this thread.

Or you could start a new thread named something like 'Levy's transfer buisness' and make all your posts about his behaviour regarding transfers in there.

They’ve built an incredible foundation (primarily to create value for their sale price) but it also sets us up for the future as a club. They now need to sell outright, or bring in outside investment via a minority atake and for Levy to stand down and employ a CEO / exec board and be as hands off as Lewis is. Now
