Remember all that crap about the stadium being a game changer for us. How being in the CL would allow us to sign the best players. It would allow us to compete at the top table. What a load of bollocks.
Well here we are, we’re selling one of the best ever players to wear our shirt.
I know we’ve sold quality players in the past but fuck me, this one really hurts bad.

Some don't realise they being abused and continue financially supporting "The Levy Gravy Train". We have made Levy a billionaire and he has Thanked us by running the Team into the Ground

But Liverpool can spend this sort of money because they have rich oil owners sportswashing! Oh...

But they have Champions League football, this brings in the...oh...

But they have a massive new stadium that generates huge revenues for them with concerts etc...oh...

Well, we can't spend like Liverpool because at least we are better than in the 90s and we don't want to do a Leeds.

Liverpool have competent owners who, upon finding a great manager, have backed him properly with really good recruiting. And amazingly, they have won some major trophies as a result. So weird, do they not know anything about "doing it the right way"?

Great post. Having said all that it's still surprising they've slapped down 110 mill for Caiceido. Mega money, mega sign of intent.
 
If I was feeling unkind I’d suggest Levy timed his holiday to Miami to avoid any backlash.

I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if he went to see Lewis to get his approval to sell Kane despite the ownership changes last year.

I’ve been told the away kit has been released with no tweets etc. I can understand that because of the Kane situation but people are restless and the club need to acknowledge that and the reasons why.

Levy comes across as wanting to quietly limp along , ignore supporters unhappiness and eventually somehow this will all go away.

Well, no.

I was a supporter of ENIC at the start, but, various events, decisions etc. mean that I have very little forgiveness left for them. I’d list them out but I’d rather not go over old ground.

I’d now rather ENIC packed up, but I know there’s nothing I can do about it. It’s not like when Sugar owned us.

And I know that if ENIC did sell, the juggernaut required to buy us would be totally immune to anything the fans thought due to the size of that outfit.

I am committed, believe me. I just don't see this ending any other way for Ange. He's just had his best player sold from under him, has a really ropey defence and, without Kane, a bang average strike force. I like him, I want it to work, but with Levy actively sabotaging Ange at every opportunity... I can't see him lasting until Xmas.

Look at the gooners as well - first season back in the Champions League, they are pushing on with big money put down for Rice, upgrading the backup keeper with what we'd have considered a good Lloris replacement, signing Havertz for pretty big dough even though they already have lots of quality attacking midfielders. They don't have oil money either, but they think Arteta has done a good job and they are taking a calculated risk in backing him further. Liverpool needed to rebuild their midfield and whilst getting some Saudi money for Fabinho and Henderson, seems they are going to spend over £200m on 3 midfield players in one transfer window.

Levy still thinks you can pick up plenty of players for £20m a go and a big money signing is £60m. Times have changed and Liverpool and Woolwich realise it and don't want to be left behind. It feels like, bar Ange being a miracle worker, we are already being left behind with a chairman who really is out of touch and has been for awhile.
