Oh, you follow football through stats? Knew you hadn't watched the game.

A MOTD pundit says we deserved to lose! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Probably belongs in the media bias thread.

On ignore you go. 👋🏻

I’ll be honest, I was more interested in whether we could play the same football than the result,

We did for 15mins and then we did again for some of the 2nd half but for me we didn’t play our game enough to win.

Loads of their shots were speculative shot long shots but all 4 on target were great chances. We only created 1 great chance other than the goal and Johnson got cramp

Imagine practically praying we lost yesterday so you could come into this thread and blame Levy/ENIC for it.

Bunch of idiots.

It's not the praying for me, it's the waiting for it. Some people post in this forum a lot more when things haven't gone right than they do when things go well. I get that 'it's a place to vent' but it also comes across as just having a sour personality.

I'd bet my house that even if we got new owners and spent billions and went theough a bad patch the same.posters would be on here complaining in the same way about something co.pletely different.

All three of Davies, Dier and Royal are triers. But they weren't good enough in 2021, and they aren't good enough now. But it takes time to manage and move everyone on. Especially if they don't want to go 🤣

The world knows they are shit. Who's deliberately buying shit players? Other than us, obviously. 🤣
All of those players are good enough to get into mid tier teams at a push, and definitely lower teams in the league. We should of let these guys move on to a club that will play them on the reg ages ago.

Would be nice but only with a promise that it's written off and not a loan so we're in debt to them.
That's the key issue.

Too many people lack the understanding that all this "investment" by owners into clubs isn't investment at all.

It's loans plus interest.
Even Abramovich didn't give Chelsea money it was a loan that only didn't get repaid because of assets being frozen.

Imagine where they would be if they'd had to repay over £1 billion to Abramovich.

Then you have people saying well x clubs owner invested money as a debt but that's ok because they're not going anywhere.

Mathew Harding invested millions in Chelsea, died unexpectedly in a helicopter crash and his widow called in the debt.
Once again those lucky cunts got away with it because of Abramovich being able to buy the club on the cheap due to the debt.

Let's not forget that Chelsea were very, very close to going bankrupt at that time.

The only ones who don't do this is the oil clubs.

Not to mention owners out money into their club for various reasons:

1) Some do it because they want A ROI which is only beneficial to them but that's rare for football clubs.

2) Some so it as a risk because they are prepared to lose money just because they are prepared to forsake personal finances in the hope that their business is successful.

3) Some do it to launder dirty cash or to sportwash and clean their image.

Fans probably want ENIC to go for option 2 but it's just entirely pointless and no investment company is going to do that with an asset like Tottenham when there are other revenue streams to capitalise on which they have done.

We are making enough money now to ensure that we aren't in debt of anyone.

I 💯 wanted to win.

Also 💯 want to blame Levy for not signing another CB in the summer.

I’m aware how simplistic that is and was partly tongue-in-cheek but it’s frustrating every time.

A club that was really serious about winning wouldn’t have gone into the season with 2 CBs that can play the way the manager wants.

By all accounts we tried to get Lloyd Kelly over the line and it wasn't able to get done.

Losing Sanchez (I know) and not getting a suitable replacement is the only real bad decision this summer. Sanchez was more suited to this current dilemma we have than Dier.

I think that if Dier had accepted any offer for him last summer, we would have kept Sanchez until we got a suitable replacement.

Absolutely. Potentially losing Dier for nothing, I understand we had to get *something* for Sanchez. That something saving may well be the difference between Europa League or Champions League. It's such silly decision making.

The idiocy of this post is astounding.

The very reason some supporters are more prominent and vent more when we lose is because of the anger, frustration and hurt they're feeling when they see the same pattern and inadequacies repeated season after season.

Whoever the manager is.

Likewise, some of us can't comprehend why some of you appear to be not too bothered when we lose, or, as an outlet, aim your anger and vitriol at other fans who have become increasingly frustrated after 23 years of rinse and repeat.

Ironically, you’ll be one of the first on here spamming every thread with calls for Ange's head when the inevitable shit hits the fan in the not too distant future

Haha.

Fair enough, only pulling your chain. 👍🏻

That xG stuff though boils my piss.

I know, was just taking the piss.

Do think Wolves deserved it though, but happy to agree to disagree. Just fundamentally think they had more periods in the game where they were in the ascendancy. We started really well but never got a grip after.

It was a tad unlucky in that before their equaliser I thought we had them where we wanted them and were comfortable having ridden the storm. Goal was just a moment of real quality.

Either way it’s not a big deal - Wolves at home at the moment are a good team and have beaten some good sides. We need better depth but like Shadydan Shadydan said earlier, we knew that was a thing.

We failed to get rid of enough players that are on loan running down their contracts. If an offer had come in for Dier then I believe we would have taken it but we had been trying to get rid of Sanchez because he makes too many mistakes and when he finally found another club we let him go. Quite correctly even though we were taking a chance.
