It’s just so hard to understand sometimes how some Spurs fans cannot fathom the idea that if you are openly critical about the ownership, an ownership that has consistently failed to bring the club we ALL love to the level we should be at, that you are not a genuine Spurs fan, a troll, etc etc.
The two things are and always should be completely separate. The ownership of this club has consistently shown for years now contempt for the fans, and that they have no real vested interest in making us as competitive as we can be on the football pitch.
There's a rancid culture of Toxic Mediocrity that runs through our fanbase and needs to be eradicated.
There can be no true progress until that happens.

Its definitely a "what did you expect" moment though given many in the summer (levy outers and Levy accepters) questioned not getting a backup cb with some quality.

Come on, at least try and talk some sense.

The idea that bar one or two seasons over the last however many, we have been mediocre in any way shape or form is frankly ludicrous. There is a consistent attempt to redefine what the word mediocre means and those who do not prescribe to the most ardent anti-enicers rhetoric and mental gymnastics about where Spurs actually stands in the world of football get called out for being something they are not.
No mediocre football team gets into Europe consistently for 11 out of 12 years.

But a mediocre club? Just a dramatic reaction by people that don't know how to deal with losing a game of football. Seriously - think about it. Grown up individuals who do not know how to mentally deal with the team they support not winning a game of football. Not even a game they play themselves but a game played by other grown-ups which they have 0 control over.
The idea that fans like myself cannot have a balanced, nuanced view of where we are without being accused of being ENIC fans just shows the mentality of those who accuse us. Honestly, if I cared as much about something as these posters claim to care about getting rid of the owners and literally did nothing about it but repetitively talk about it online using the same comments and tired old insults, I'd have to question how much i actually care about it and whether or not i was just addicted to moaning.
