Do you expect us to finish 8th this season?
Do you expect our players to get worse this season?
Do you expect our players or our manager to down tools this season?
Do you expect our injured key players to be out for the entire season?
Do you expect us not to strengthen in January?
If the answers are no to all of those questions then you'll realise that this is nothing like last season and the situations are entirely different unless you're just moaning at the sake of moaning at things that haven't happened yet which is clearly some faux outrage.

I don’t think that’s bad on Ange’s part. The squad is hideously overrated on here and lean as hell.
Our underlying numbers aren’t great either, and our fixtures have been comfortable. I expect a fall off and that’s fine.
Our underlying numbers are skewed by the Chelsea and Wolves matches (we won't go through the entire season with 9 men on the pitch and Maddison and VdV are out for a couple of months ) , the attacking numbers were more than fine, the defensive numbers were a little concerning but that's expected from a new defence and new system, you're acting as if our players won't improve in time.
This is why perspective is needed, there's probably one match you'd say we've been lucky in (Man Utd) I mean it's not as if we're playing shit and being bailed out by Kane and Son every week which shows it's sustainable.
Im not sure most sensible fans are over rating the squad.
Did people give props to those who stepped in during the Chelsea game and played their hearts out for the team - of course they did. Did that change how most fans rated the squad players overall? nope.
Lo Celso is not rated
Dier is not rated
Hojbjerg as a starter in Ange's system without a creative mid is not rated.
Davies has and always been rated fairly.
I just don't see the over rating your talking of however our best 11 when fit is rated appropriately in my opinion.
Most of those are relatively new to Spurs and our squad, if continued to be built in the same vein will be highly competitive.

But a club that hires Jose and Conte isn't one that has mediocrity as its final destination.
It's a club that was being incredibly naieve about what it takes to win and it very much pissed me off that we hired managers that did not fit in with out footballing philosophy or with the players at the club.

Fans demanded change last season. In the last 4 windows, we have been working on, quite successfully I might add, completely overhauling our scouting and squad. We are 2-3 windows away from completing that overhaul with some seriously good youth waiting in the wings.
Toxicity was booing Royal and Sanchez but even that hadn't nothing to do with accepting mediocrity.
Your assertion that our fans have a mentality of toxic mediocrity based on them not ousting the owners successfully is an opinion that most fans would disagree with, making your opinion flat-out wrong.
