Hey skywalker68 noticed you disagreed. As I was the one that was in A&E and he WAS the one laughing, I feel I'm more likely to know what the fuck that wanker did than you. Although if you'd been paying attention you'd have seen the posts on various threads.
You claimed in a previous thread it was one of your kids in A&E....and I was laughing at them.

Complete fallacy. Embarrassing. Made up nonsense to try and besmirch the name of yet another poster you've taken a dislike to.

It's not funny and it shouldn't be acceptable to post such shit on a public forum

You're a blatant liar. Disgusting behaviour.

Our fanbase doesn't have a toxic mentality of mediocrity though.

Who accepted what was happening under Poch at the end of his tenure? Who accepted Nuno? Who wanted Conte to stay?

Fans demanded change last season. In the last 4 windows, we have been working on, quite successfully I might add, completely overhauling our scouting and squad. We are 2-3 windows away from completing that overhaul with some seriously good youth waiting in the wings.

Toxicity was booing Romero and Sanchez but even that hadn't nothing to do with accepting mediocrity.

Your assertion that our fans have a mentality of toxic mediocrity based on them not ousting the owners successfully is an opinion that most fans would disagree with, making your opinion flat-out wrong.
*guzzle* *guzzle*

Many do, I'm afraid. Here's a great example.

A few years ago, when our young team was on the verge of achieving something spectacular, we went and fucked it all by become the first club, in any major league, ever, not to strengthen the squad with a single signing.

That same year, the club announced the highest annual profit ever recorded by a football club.

Now, I don't think you was on here at the time. But if you were, you would have found this place riddled with people defending the clubs inactivity. Excuse after excuse. Bullshit and bluster about who could we possibly sign that would improve the team.

Rather than wanting the club push on and help the manager and his team get over the line, they were happy to accept the club, essentially, throwing in the towell and shitting on the manager (and the fans)

Another example? . You mention Nuno.
Well, there were tons of fans, on here, demanding we all back the appointment , even though it was clear from the start it was a shabby, cop out appointment of a mediocre manager who was doomed to fail. Any one refusing to get on board with the appointment was abused and accused of being a lesser fan.

We even had the embarrassing #backNuno bullshit

Conte was right. There is a losing mentality festering at the top endorsed by Levy's own cowardly words...... 'but winning is hard 😭"......And it does indeed manifest itself in a large proportion of our fanbase

You say large proportion but my perception online and from talking to most other fans is that that large proportion was in the minority.

The larger proportion was pissed off we hadn't signed anyone and not happy at the Nuno signing.

What's likely to be the case is that the largest majority are simply silent and not talking about it online.

Go online to any club forum and you will see a similar dynamic with every fanbase.

Some toxic mediocrity, some toxic negativity, some toxic positivity.

I'm just happy we aren't Liverpool and our toxic victim mentality is very small.

Absolutely this.

Unfortunately, a minority can't grasp the concept of being unhappy at the Nuno signing, and at the same time, hoping that he would do well for us.

Hoping that a new manager fails at the club you support, so much so that you start slagging him off before a ball is even kicked. That's the real toxicity right there.

Take me back to 10 days ago when this thread was peaceful, 2 losses and people are talking about penises and guzzling cum, Good Lord 😆

Yeah some of our fans seem to revel in us being losers & not winning stuff. Then using it as a weapon to say how positive they are & how much of a better fan they are!

Why would you not want to spend & her better players in when you are close to the top. Why would you tell people you should be grateful for our 1 league cup & we shouldn’t expect more. Why tell people who think we can do better to fuck off & support city. Even calling us glory supporters. They don’t even see how silly that is.

I’ll finish with our very mediocre season just gone & our millionaire chairman rewarding himself with a pay rise. & many of our toxic mediocre fanbase have no problem with this & still can’t see why this is wrong on so many levels. Mediocre fans ok with chairman rewarding himself for mediocre season says it all. They not only accept mediocrity but think it should be rewarded too!
I think that’s the issue when you became a hardcore fan of a person then you can’t even see these flaws.
We would be playing super league football in east London if levy had his way.

Liverpool's owners have done better on the pitch.

Levy failed to win anything.

When City and the Chavs don't get any meaningful punishment, this tweet goes back to being irrelevant and only ever becomes relevant again when or if FFP ever grows any teeth for the big guns.

I don't hate Levy as an owner and he's achieved fantastic infrastructure improvements for the club. It would be a fantastic success story if he could convert that into trophies. It would be a success story for football the premier league if a British owned club could operate sustainably and win in the Prem. Not that they see it that way.

But for now this is a sport that is about winning and at the top end and he hasn't achieved that.
