Fair enough. Yours make a lot more sense. But honestly what is ironic about hating some parts of our recruitment and not others? Do I have to explain that here all of the time?
We pay 1st and 2nd in the league in ticket prices. We pay 7th and 8th in the league for players. We spend far too much on the likes of N'Dombele and Johnson. We let go the likes of Walker and Kane. We let our best recruitment strategist under Pochettino go to Liverpool and leapfrog us. We're the team that regressed after a CL final instead of targeting two key defensive areas and winning it the next year. I and some other fans say this before the time, during the time, and we don't get paid by THFC.
I can appreciate 90% of what Levy did with the stadium and not doing a Leeds, and gradually improving even if it took 10-20 years longer. I can still criticise the 10% that he gets wrong, which just happens to be most important: Top level competitive player recruitment on a consistent basis. It's a functional requirement.
If we go 0-1 down next weekend then the we want Levy out chants will start. That will see off Ange sharpish
