So boring...stop..start..stop..start...for about 3 hours...
American football is 6 seconds of sheer violence and calamity broken up by 20 seconds of recovery.

It's very interesting from a tactical perspective, if you understand the nuance. Or you can just go in for the violence, though that's been greatly curbed.

Played for 15 years and have the shattered joints to show for it. Definitely one sport I would not let children play.

Interestingly, the average American sports fan considers proper football boring because there isn't enough scoring. Other cultures consider American football boring because there's so many breaks. Generally it just depends on where you grow up, very much nurture rather than nature.

Only the wealthiest of individuals and companies would be able to get close to buying THFC. Generally speaking, only those with enough knowledge and sense to have acquired that level of wealth.
You're also very unlikely to get an owner who will spend like many on here wish. People who have created billions in wealth rarely are the kind to flush it down the toilet so their sports team can win.

Oligarchs/oil states are basically it. Next step down is someone who inherited their wealth (like Kroenke Jr.).

Outside of that, you're just going to get another ENIC type investor. All that said, I'd be happy to have another ENIC type investor. Someone different, at least.

All pointless, we're not shaking Levy.

I don't think that, potential new owners need to spend like city to push some of the bigger clubs.
We could spend more than we do but don't, if we had ready made, quality proven players ange would have a better team he currently has.
Instead we have purchased young players on low wages, hoping that something might develop in 3/4 years time.
If new owners were just a bit more keen or braver on the financial side we could really do well.

We definitely could spend more, primarily by increasing our wage budget (we do seem to have made significant progress here lately with a significant jump in the past few years).

But a non-oligarch/oil state owner is unlikely to increase spending very significantly. But just increasing our wage budget to ±60% of revenue would be a big deal, currently the only PL club under 50%.

It makes me laugh when a well know blogger (no names we will call him cc) who is actually ok puts out regular info about go karts and the hotel and NFL as if anyone apart from a clapper gives a monkeys.

If this leads to an eventual takeover, it has to be seen as both positive and a good thing.
