They always time it in such a way to distract attention away from poor and disgraceful footballing matter, this time i.e the Ipswich result, Bentancur ban etc.. It only makes matters worse.. Very poor exec decision.
You don’t honestly believe that?

So, we either:

1. Got rebranded but didn’t tell anyone until we thought there was enough bad news out there that launching the new brand would be a good thing.
2. Lost to Ipswich and heard about the Bentancur ban so hurriedly rebranded to mitigate the negativity.

Whichever one of the above nonsense you may believe, surely you realise that no matter how many times the club and its owners fuck up, even they aren’t as stupid as to believe we’ll all think “lovely new cockerel. Let’s all be wonderfully positive about everything Spurs again”.

An organisation our size will always be releasing news of some kind. New branding, new addition to the corporate team, a new sponsor, etc. Since we don’t win every match we play, some of these announcements will coincide with a shite result. It’s not a cunning plan.

Levy probably hired a consulting firm for a couple million quid, got them all to come to the stadium and stand on the Dare skywalk, who then recommended hiring some orange-wine drinking, corduroy-clad Bethinal Green residents with tiny beanies and RCA degrees to fuck about with PowerPoint and Adobe to create a font.

The end result is, all this money spent, all this brainpower exerted, and we’ve got a 2 minute video and created basically nothing of value. Our economy is built on shit upon shit. Inflationary nonsense spent on wasted crap.
I could have "redesigned the font" for a fraction of that.

3) SPURS
4) Job done. Kerching!

I feel such a mug now for thinking lovely new cockerel, this is the start of a positive new era for the club .

Thanks

That is absolutely incredible.

Even more so when you factor in ENIC are the longest serving ownership by a good stretch in the league.

Toxic parasite cunts.
Also think there was a murky shareholder option scheme implemented that funded their full acquisition a few years after they took on ownership so I would guess these fucking bastards only really put in c.£15M

Levy has overpaid himself more than that in the last 3 years the little fuck

Strikes me when we were in the old stadium we needed to be achieving financial value for ENIC via the CL . This was clearly where the money was , It raised the club value and brand. However if the new stadium via its other income streams, ( which continues to grow) means we are not reliant on CL for monetary purposes , does anyone genuinely think they will strive to attain it in the same way .
Winning trophies was never important , but top 4 was , if top 4 becomes no more than an occasional “nice if it happens” I think the acceptance of failure will become even more the norm in the boardroom .

Sadly this is how I feel , I think the malaise of mediocrity has truly set in post Poch

It’s a great point

Suspect potential owners are more enthralled by non CL revenue too so basically the leaches are focused on commercial revenue growth to enable. Higher sale price

I still haven't seen any evidence all the non-football activity at the stadium helps the football team.

When do all the other teams season ticket renewals usually close?
I always feel like ours is deliberately early so they can get the money before letting us all down.

I tend to agree with this - which is why I find this such a weird thing. Assuming it wasn't a "masterplan" item timed to distract us gullible fools....who the fuck would launch a "rebrand" (and, for the record, they're using that word very liberally for some font tweaks) 1/4 of the way through a season? I can think of no other professional sports club that's done this.

So taking away the Tottenham Hotspur words leaves us with just the cockerel.

Are we going down the Prince route of becoming a symbol?

Just to balance this out a bit.
Spam went for just the hammers recently.
Arse - just a cannon
Wolves is just a wolf (since 2002)

So we're just copying others by the looks of it, rather than trying to eradicate the football aspect of the club.

I can’t really remember but wasn’t the last ‘rebrand ‘ eg badge change mid season ? I seem to remember it being quite a big thing with plenty of build up
I’m probably totally wrong , anyways I don’t think this was done to cover up our bad form, it’s just poor timing of behalf of Levy & Co , I doubt any Spurs fans really gives a fuck about our badge being “ slightly different “
