Love the way someone has accurately shown, the football side of the business has gone flat and not important.

Guess it’s fifth this season not fourth? An interesting chat led by Jack PB on VFTL how our floor 7/8th) and ceiling (4th) are closer together than any other PL club. I hadn’t really thought of it like that before and I think it’s a huge part of the problem. It’s all so uninspiring. It is probably true. However it is why we should prioritise the cups. But Levy wants fourth, it’s our title to him.
It leaves us all so utterly fucked as fans as it means we don’t go for the cups because levy wants us to chase fourth and is happy in this cycle. It’s not going to change.
What do you reckon we'll end up as...
Tottenham Hotspurs Cowboys?
NFL/EPL franchise club...
Possibly...
If so, I'm out, but I don't think 142 years of history will be eradicated with a logo change...
Personally, I hate all the American tie in stuff... Couldn't give a shit either way...
But if it pays the bills, so be it.
Better a 'Murrican billionaire ploughing money in than a Saudi one...
Or is that OK if we win stuff?
Then again, no one is exactly queuing up to pump money in...
So it's Joe Lewis/Levy or nothing I guess!
State of us, eh?
Keep sacking the manager every year until we win something? Doesn't sound like a sustainable model to me but you probably know a lot more than our current ownersThe football team will just become another Everton type club. Always in the PL but never any good. The chequebook will only ever come out to avoid trouble, not to push on.
With so much money coming in from concerts etc, the football team is no longer the focal point, so it'll be a side show in the grand ENIC/Levy business.
If we lose 2 or 3 of our next 6, we should be sacking the manager and making changes.
If we don't then i think it confirms this belief that the football team doesn't need to be successful for ENIC to win.
Keeping a manager who is in no way capable of sustaining a challenge on the top 6 of the league is no better. If anything, it's worse.Keep sacking the manager every year until we win something? Doesn't sound like a sustainable model to me but you probably know a lot more than our current owners
Yes the club is remarkably well calibrated to finish between 4-7th. An example in corporate efficiency. It's why many of us feel so frustrated by it. All a bit "meh". This is, indeed, IT.An interesting chat led by Jack PB on VFTL how our floor 7/8th) and ceiling (4th) are closer together than any other PL club. Highest net spend (2015-2024)
1. Manchester United - £1.08billion (€1.3bn)
2. Chelsea - £1.07billion (€1.2bn)
3. PSG - £825million (€991m)
4. Woolwich - £661million (€795m)
5. Tottenham - £591million (€711m)

8. Newcastle United - £521million (€626m)
9. Barcelona - £500m (€601m)
10. Al-Hilal - £462million (€556m)
The above which includes time before the new stadium rather scuppers the argument about not spending on the team.

16. Bournemouth - £318million (€383m)

18. Crystal Palace - £301million (€363m)
20. Wolves - £287million (€345m)
Did not show that, but Kane was well paid and it is because he went that wages have reduced last season. And money spent on wages in that period? I suspect we are well down that list in comparison.
Is the club already at that stage to a lesser degree? The football team will just become another Everton type club. Always in the PL but never any good. The chequebook will only ever come out to avoid trouble, not to push on.

Shite owners and a decent manager is still preferable to shite owners and a shite manager, bro.Keep sacking the manager every year until we win something? Doesn't sound like a sustainable model to me but you probably know a lot more than our current owners

I switched , I’m going deep deep deep undercover
Levy could shit in their cornflakes and they'd claim it was chocolate milk
We have been a top 6 club for 10-15 years. Everton have done it a handful of times. They hardly ever have European football. Is the club already at that stage to a lesser degree?
Are we not a southern version of Everton, a rich man's west ham if you like.
I don't ever see the club getting relegated under ENIC, but at the same time , club will never achieve anything either.
