Didnt know that. Bit of the jobs for the boys culture at our club then really.
Levy's Wife Tracy has 3 brothers I think, at one stage all 3 were on the pay roll. Daniel sacked one of the brothers coz he had a party at their house while the Levy's were on holiday in the US. The house got trashed and a ferrari stolen from his garage.I know this from a friend who worked with the brother in law in question.

What's your hypothesis

Personally, & of course it’s just guess work . I think they were actively looking during the transfer window & there wasn’t the interest they hoped for as other managers were concentrated on their own clubs . They knew an other Mason type internal hiring would have gone down like a lead balloon , time passed & it was accepted that Ange was staying .

Levy probably told himself that “ See I’m not overreacting melt when it comes to managers” another idiotic move as THIS is the very manager to act quick when it’s apartment he’s out of his depth. Since then this decision , as often is with him, has gone from bad to worse

Most businesses & serious football clubs have continuity planning, they know their next move for several scenarios . Spurs don’t

I I were levy , Jesus what a thought , I’d be expecting us to probably scrape past Bodo , the league disaster to continue & I’d be talking to managers , who as the season is coming to a close , know where they are & try to tempt them with the prospect of their first game being a potential Cup winning one.

Would Levy really sack a manager before a cup final?

Leeds announced new Elland road stands. Up to 53,000.

What do we get for our new stadium? Sell to buy. What an improvement. Everyone is catching up.

On a side note, it looks like a copy of Anfield.

I didn’t realise until I looked at the weekend… Anfield’s capacity pretty much matches ours.

We’ve taken an expensive route and everyone else is going to catch us up - and our stadium isn’t upgradable by capacity (I’m led to believe).

Anfield, City, West Ham, Woolwich, are all 60k. Woolwich are trying to build 80k and running feasibility studies.

United going for 100k. Everton 54k, Newcastle 70k, Leeds 53k, Villa 50k and Chelsea are moving to Twickenham whilst they redevelop.

So yeah, we gonna be alot in debt with similar sized ground as everyone else.

The club is just depressing atm.

The ground should always have been upgradable.

It would be a terrible mistake to not have that contingency.

What's your hypothesis
Threefold

Firstly, he used to sack managers to deflect the blame from himself. Whereas he sees the current useless bum is perfect patsy for deflecting blame from himself so he's hanging on to him for as long as possible.

Secondly, he's been through every kind of manager from serial winners, to up and coming to traditional old school without success and he knows he'll really struggle to attract any decent replacement to drink from his poisoned cup of piss without offering them a Kings ransom to do so.

There's also propably the compensation clause being much higher if he's sacked before he completes 50% of his contract....i.e, the end of his second season

Don't forget all of these teams will be saddled with similar if not more debt than us... Everton's new stadium was estimated at 750m but is over 1b now, redevelopment of St James park 800m - 1b, new Old Trafford will be 2b, full rebuild of Stamford Bridge 2b... Villa and Leeds expansions are 100m each but that gets them ~10,000 extra seats in a stadium that has ridiculously high maintenance costs because of it's age. They are kicking the can down the road. I would worry about City, they are anomaly because they can't even fill their current stadium and it doesn't really matter. They are state owned and money never runs out for them. No need for creative debt financing, just borrow another 1b off the state.

Exactly.

Daniel Levy. 2019

:levywtf: "The New stadium will see us regularly compete with Europe's elit. It will, in all honesty, be a game changer for this football club"

Daniel Levy. 2025. With the club about to finish 1 or 2 places above the relegation zone

:levystare:"We cannot spend what we do not have"

Followed by reports we have to "Sell to Buy"

Ladies and Gentlemen. I think it's fair to say the cunt has well and truly pulled our pants down 🩲

Was reading an article this morning on Liverpool going big. They also said the other top teams would look to improve their squads especially Newcastle and villa. There was one team conspicuous by its absence. Any guess who?

Today is a new day and I have decided to accentuate the positive . I am nearly 64 so I doubt very much I will be alive to see the next 25 years of Spurs under ENIC . I would bank lasting until 85 now in a heartbeat,so 21 years and 2 months more of this dross and I’m free. In keeping with my upbeat outlook I am assuming Heaven is a Gooner and Chelscum free zone . If we don’t sack Ange for some strange reason at seasons end I will happily go next year at 65, who is with me .

We're properly fucked arent we. Even before you start on Liverpool, Woolwich, City, Chelsea, Newcastle and Villa you have to look at the mid table sides like Brighton and Palace. Watched the latters semi final and id say at least half their team would be first teamers for us. So many other clubs are better run with better managers and want to improve. Levy banked everything on PSR having teeth and has screwed it.

I'll believe that when I see it. What exactly is going big? 150m spend up? I cant see them doing more.

They dont have the financial wiggle room to go big. Their wage bill is huge.

Yes we are properly fucked. Money tied up in shit players that nobody is going to pay for (Richarlison, Bissouma etc). Plus a tight arse chairman that only splashes the cash for unproven teenagers.

The only money we can raise is players that are highly desirable like Porro, VDV and Romero.
