“Wait a minute?!?! There are people that stop working?! And they’re not dead, you say?!?!”If Levy were as coldly rational about getting the best possible value to sell the club as many assume, he would have sold years ago.
Being the Football Chairman Who Knows Business is his life's work, he's never voluntarily leaving. He's the type of guy who works until he's dead.
If the Lewis estate decides it wants to/needs to sell we've got a chance, but until then don't bother.

It's twice his size
Nah, you reflexively swooping in to defend said pathetic little bald sub-penis, pegged-by-the-wife, pissy pants coward cunt is very telling tho.
If he had come on in full kit it and lifted the cup it would have been epic.
nope, not defending him, just pointing out the more you say it, the more it sounds like you're the one that's whipped.Nah, you reflexively swooping in to defend said pathetic little bald sub-penis, pegged-by-the-wife, pissy pants coward cunt is very telling tho.

No, it just sounds like me saying it a lot.nope, not defending him, just pointing out the more you say it, the more it sounds like you're the one that's whipped.
And I still fully expect when the Lewis estate sells it will be to an investment group formed by Levy, likely largely facilitated by THFC being spun off from ENIC and a share swap to divest Levy from ENIC.If Levy were as coldly rational about getting the best possible value to sell the club as many assume, he would have sold years ago.

Is that because he’d have likely toppled over the balcony?!

In fact, I really think making that happen has been the impetus behind the recent search for a minority investor. They're looking for someone to buy the balance of Lewis' shares after the club is spun off, Levy swaps stock and purchases any required to maintain majority control.
I'd eat my hat if Levy ever sells, honestly. Can't see it happening.
I totally agree with all of this in terms of their thinking. The intent is to keep the project rolling beyond Lewis' lifespan. And I still fully expect when the Lewis estate sells it will be to an investment group formed by Levy, likely largely facilitated by THFC being spun off from ENIC and a share swap to divest Levy from ENIC.

He was still stating this would be the case after the match on Sunday. One of the STs who sits by me seems to have a lot of info sometimes... he says Ange will get the first 6 PL games next season before a decision is made, if he wins the EL.
Well he has the build in advantage of already owning around 25% of the club, so he needs to spend less to buy ENIC out than other buyers.I totally agree with all of this in terms of their thinking. The intent is to keep the project rolling beyond Lewis' lifespan.
And yet, it is the nature of transfers of ownership upon death, all of a sudden in that moment what Lewis and Levy want no longer counts.
If the kids want to sell (and yet again, they should!), Levy doesn't go into that process with any particular advantage.
He isn't a good chairman. Everybody knows this except for Joe Lewis. Getting a plutocrat who doesn't look at him as a trusted protege to give him the same leash will not be easy.
I don’t think anyone knows if that’s the case, not even Levy and Ange - let alone your mate from block 256He was still stating this would be the case after the match on Sunday.
I don't know anyone in 256.I don’t think anyone knows if that’s the case, not even Levy and Ange - let alone your mate from block 256

He’s a basic, one dimensional exec - not terrible very average.Well he has the build in advantage of already owning around 25% of the club, so he needs to spend less to buy ENIC out than other buyers.
Theres also the leverage of if they sell against his wishes, he'd retain his 30% ownership of ENIC and could be a less than friendly significant minority partner for the heirs going forward.
He holds significant advantage over other buyers.
We also don't know that its anti-trophy. Everyone assumes that Levy = Lewis, but there's plenty of reason to think Lewis, who has been to maybe 3 matches since owning the club, and Levy, who attends basically every single match including sitting in a frigid plywood box away at Tamworth in January, do not agree on the fundamental ratio of income which should be devoted to football expenses.
Levy was a ST before he got involved with football, as well, so its likely that in that position he would:
Were I Levy, that's what I would do. I sure as fuck wouldn't throw a strop publicly and get sacked.
- Do the best he could within the parameters set by his boss,
- Do everything he could to increase revenue and therefore football spending.
- Do whatever is necessary to keep the boss happy and therefore get to keep being the chairman of spurs.
- Wait, patiently, for the old man to fuck off and try to get your hands on the club afterwards.
Haha. Point is I don’t think anything is confirmed either way, from either side

That's why he is hanging out with Amanda Staveley. That's her area of expertise. He’s a basic, one dimensional exec - not terrible very average.
He hasn’t got the network or flair to rustle up 3BN to buy out the leaches kids.
