As an English/Angelino, raised here, people just don't understand how loved Lakers/Dodgers are here. They are LA and LA is them. The money spent on these teams are astronomical.
Even if a selfish owner wanted to move the team they can't anymore because its so synonymous with the city.
Also American sports system is designed to have owners make a good chunk of money, it would be Levy's dream to own an American sports team because they generate so much "guaranteed" revenue and is barred by cap space so no team can have too much advantage over the other.

I've felt since the start of the EPL that the end game for some owners would be a World super league
outside of FIFA,
with its own football laws/rules,
where the players only play for that club (not their country)
you woud have the best of the best players, who once their contracts were up the FIFA clubs would be falling over themselves to get them (if they wanted more money)
running its own TV channels, at price so folks won't bother with priate streams

How will all of this be paid for you ask? Simple use revenue from supporters (tickets, merch, tv subscriptions etc) to plan/build real estate - rather than WASTE it on player transfers and wages.

We’re not getting proper success and glory while we have the lowest wages to turnover ratio not just in the EPL but of any team in a big five league bruv. ENIC is running a con init. Building a real estate empire off the back of our club and us (as supporters).
They’ve already made BILLIONS just owning the club. How greedy is it to siphon off club money to build real estate instead of using it to improve the club on the pitch?!? All owners in the EPL are greedy bastards but no other owner is doing this. ENIC/Levy Out!

Let’s hope he stays out of Frank’s way, I believe that one of the problems that previous managers have had is that Levy micro-manages them and undermines their authority. That much was evident in the Amazon series when Danny Rose, having got no joy from Jose, expected to go over his head straight to Levy.

I’m not sure that’s the case - the bigger problem is a lack of strategy and trying to be clever, rather than buying the best player possible from time to time, and undermining the manager that way
