Andrew Ashcroft was based in Belize, where he owns a hotel and his father has substantial business interests, until 2021 when his then partner Jasmine Hartin was charged with manslaughter after accidentally shooting a police officer. Hartin was spared prison after pleading guilty, but Ashcroft obtained custody of their two children and moved to the Turks and Caicos Islands to launch a new business venture.
In 2019 Andrew Ashcroft was hauled off an American Airlines flight in handcuffs and arrested for public intoxication after the pilots were forced to abandon the take-off due to his behaviour.

Highly unlikely to be Asset Match - it would be quite a task to try to build up a 3% as most stakes in Tottenham shares are quite small so trying to aggregate enough to buy that size stake is not easy/would take some time.
Almost certainly acquired from his father, Lord Ashcroft, who probably acquired the stake when Spurs was a listed company.
FYI this is the document disclosing the stake London Stock Exchange | London Stock Exchange which was required to be submitted under Takeover Panel rules on stakes over 1%, even though Ashcroft was not part of either bid.
Note this is a statement of holding not of acquisition of shares and no monetary value is given to the holding
ITK: my sources says he is a tough negotiator Don Danilo Levy but he is extremely bald.
Promises are lovely but like to understand a bit more about this, £1.2bn for the playing squad is great but it could easily be pie in the sky.
