One of the oddest 'myths' is that of "highest paid chairman" and "£6m per annum".
That information is freely published and publicly available, so very very easy to look up. It was £6m in 2016/17 because of delayed salary and bonuses - it wasn't his normal or regular wage.
The "highest paid director" was paid £3.73m in 2024, £3.58m in 2023, £3.26m in 2022, £2.7m in 2021. All of these are pretty much the same as Paul Barber paid himself at Brighton (£3.2m in 2024, £2.4m in 2023, £2.8m in 2022, roughly £2m in seasons prior).
