Why would Levy comment? He's a silent shareholder now. There's no indication Levy even has a Twitter. Doubtful he has a personal PR firm just because. The club responded.
The 24.99% acquisition is an interesting %for 2 reasons
1 The Premier League's Owners' and Directors' Test (ODAT) threshold is 25 per cent of the club itself. But Eight Sports' indirect interest in Tottenham Hotspur Limited is 24.99 per cent multiplied by ENIC's 86.58 per cent stake in the club: approximately 21.6 per cent. They are below the ODAT threshold regardless of whether they hold 20 or 30 per cent of ENIC.
2 The Independent Football Regulator's (IFR) ODSE rules, effective 5 May 2026 under the Football Governance Act 2025, define "Owner" by reference to indirect holdings above 25 per cent of a regulated club. Eight Sports' indirect interest is 21.6 per cent. The IFR is not triggered either.
So by chance (or as calculated very possibly) the 24.99% transfer (if it has occurred) avoids scrutiny in UK.
In Bahamas (where ENIC is registered) the limit is 10%. so at some point (and I'm not on top of Bermuda regulations) there will need to be some form of disclosure - but how transparent to the public this will be I'm unsure.,

Very good summary
One point incorrect, which may be a detail or key I'm unsure, is that Triller was 'suspended' on 30th December (when its market cap was $30m) due to not filing 2 quarterly reports but relisted on 16th April 2026.
So if Triller is a key part of this transaction it is once again a listed company - however it would need recapitalising to be part of this transaction as I'd guess 24.99% of ENIC is worth $500m to $ 1 billion, far in excess of the $30m market cap it had when suspended in December

A couple of intriguing comments in Triller's quarterly accounts to 31 March 2026 (10 Q) filed at NSSDAQ/SEC (see link above). Triller is involved in 'content management' .
The Company’s premium sports and content strategy includes assets such as BKFC and an ownership interest in Tottenham Hotspur. (page 44)

1 Triller should do another SEC filing on 30 June 2026, which could be revealing
2 Triller has a lot of legal actions ongoing : I'd certainly understand Lewis family not wanting to get into bed with Triller as a shareholder in ENIC without a VERY substantial re-financing as the legal actions could sink Triller if they lose the court cases

Misinterpreted your post. You said "he hasn't commented as one would expect" - I interpreted that as you saying you would expect him to have commented.I said he wouldn’t be expected to comment.
Personally, I would have phrased it "As one would expect, Levy hasn't commented.", for the opposite meaning.

Don’t see Levy getting into bed with a loudmouth chancer like Brooklyn Earick. Really not his style.
Defending Levy here which is not my style but they could have put money in at any point. There was a chart that showed only the Glazers had put less money in that them over the tenure in the Premier League despite the massive growth in asset value. Easy to put money in when it’s your reputation. Levy by football standards was a tramp when it came to his financial valuation, Lewis’s are the ones with the big cash.
I am glad they appear to be taking it seriously and seriously they should after the relegation battle but this is really late in the day. It’s weird the signs are very positive more than I have seen in a long time but it has only come about when they finally understood they need to get their act together.
Well presumably it's cos ENIC isn't run by Joe Lewis anymore.
The pensioner children only gained control a couple of years back after Joe was forced to hand over the reigns. Prior to that the kids would've had zero say in what happened at Spurs and now they're the ones calling the shots.
They might prove to be fucking shit (and they have been so far) but I think it's pretty clear things are being done different behind the scenes and the timing lines up with Joe stepping away.
Plus the sacking and removal of the megalomaniac Levy
