He just needs time and to feel the trust of the manager. Jose has a clear idea of how he plans to structure the team, it requires a DM and right now Dier is our best option there.

I will take this slightly rusty Dier playing a disciplined midfield role rather than the pure chaosball that we saw when Winks and Sissoko were told to run the midfield in that stupid diamond. Certain players just need time to reach their best condition but this is a system that works. You cannot take Dier out after he’s started our fist back to back PL wins in god knows how long. Until we can make a signing he is a player that is crucial to the team structure and Mourinho will always put that first.

Did the job he was on the pitch to do, the Jose plan was to make B'mouth shoot from distance by stopping them getting to the byline and crossing and by having a screen in front of the back four. Dier whilst still clearly not match fit was the guy who just roamed across the centre of the pitch getting in the way ... not pretty but effective

B'mouth managed 20 shots, which is huge for any away side, but Gazza made just four saves. When we lost focus at the end a free-kick and B'mouth getting behind the FB's cost us two goals, all too little too late but showed where B'mouth are good.

Dier wasn't great, but he did what was asked well enough and lasted a full 96 minutes, clear signs of the player he once was, he's only 25 defensive midfielders are at their best in the late twenties and early thirties, he has time.

Fucking hell, if that was Dier doing a good job and "what was asked" I'd hate to see what this (Bournemouth's shot map) would like like if he fucked it up:

All of these shots are coming from the "Dier" zone.

It's not all Dier's fault (just like it's not his credit that Bournemouth's shooting was shit), we defended fucking badly as a team throughout, but we desperately need a proper DM who can actually protect the defence and simultaneously play a modicum of football, Dier struggles with both.

Can't run at all.

Until he sorts that he's of very limited use.

Stomp-jogs around the middle of the park lookling like he's on 40-a-day, being clumsy and giving the ball away. + has got no recovery in him whatsoever.

He seemed to lower the margin of error in the second half by playing
simple, short balls.

Cut the fouling down somewhat, though, which was a plus.

Stick to bashing Sissoko ... just being an even bigger idiot by picking on another player won't help your reputation ... in fact probably best if you say nothing about players you don't like .. it just makes you look silly - "The Dier Zone" what the fuck is that?

We won Dier did his job, not 100% his passing was certainly 'rusty' but well enough.

Eric Dier bounces back to show his value for Jose Mourinho

In fact why do you bother? Three wins in three and here you are still crying ... please stop

Guys, forget the romanticism, he is not good enough to be a DM for a top 4 club. Stop searching for it cause it ain’t happening. The sooner we find a true footballer to sit behind Ndombele the better.

Joking aside, I'm all for seeing if Jose can take him up a level, and he's going to need game time to prove it. But if he doesn't have that extra gear, and I'm not yet convinced he does, then bring in a more dynamic player who can provide it.
In all honesty that seems to sadly sum up Wanyama! The original Twilight Zone series was and is brilliant television.

Stop being a lame mate. I never said anything when people stated Alli was poor. It was when people (like yourself) took it a step too far and brought up non football related stuff that I said something.
Get off the fence....too many people fall silent when certain players are shit but don’t mind the slating of others
