I think he played better as DM, he kept his concentration, he moved much more, looked much fitter, scored the odd goal, as a centre back he has struggled bar the odd game, either stick him next to PEH or sell him to Everton.

Pretty sure he'd been suffering for 18months, like most of the squad.

Agree BTW, he's never been all that, except his first season as DM, dropping back into a three, was glorious for a while and we strangled nearly every team of meaningful possession.

Double this info down, with the below, we are getting to the heart of the matter:

Treatment of mice with EPA (30 μg/ml), DHA (30 μg/ml), or siamycin I (5 μg/ml) in drinking water significantly reduced the colonization of H. pylori by 96, 78, and 68%, respectively. In addition, they prepared 10-hydroxy-cis-12-octadecenoic acid (HYA; C18:1 ω-6, 23) from linoleic acid by bio-conversion with Lactobacillus plantarum and showed that 23 also suppressed the in vitro growth and in vivo colonization of H. pylori by blocking the futalosine pathway. HYA was also effective against Helicobacter suis, which causes the formation of gastric lymphoid follicles [15], when 23 was added to the drinking water of a mouse model of H. suis infection.

Dier was cheated by the club, which demanded intensity, day to day, yet we can see from the type of malaise he encountered, and, subsequently endure, he has clearly been poorly nourished, as key nutrients he needed were missing, leading to this situation.

Agree we should have sold him Utd, on SpursCommunity I started a thread on intensity, that there was at best a 3year cycle to most players in that environment, so quick, constant turnover to bring in young fresh 18-22 year olds was key to Poch having longevity (or any team wanting to play fast aggressive football)..
That explains everything then.

:baletroll:

I think in retrospect it's probably the case that the drop-in holding midfielder role in the early Poch tactics allowed for a sort of seek-and-destroy tackling player to break up play without all that much proper CB-type responsibility and probably made Dier and Wanyama look like better players than they actually were.

That said, when we would go to a back three and have Jan, Toby, Dier and Wanyama all on the field at the same time, there was truly no way through us, it's not like that was a mirage. And Walker and Rose got free rein to terrorize the opposing flanks goddamnit I miss that team :vdvcry:

This is all fascinating stuff but what he really needs is not to he some damn dense. He has no idea what's going on around him and is very often often last one to react.

So..zest.. health weirdo. Ive had this acid thing going on for like weeks and got recommended to eat things like kefir, miso , redcabbage. It seems to have helped . Are these things actually useful or just a coincidence that i got better.

Unless Sanchez is playing and then it’s close

Watching him with the ball it is amazing to think that he played in the MF for a few years and at the International level.
