We'll beat the shite and as soon as we play a team that isnt made up of 11 farmers that will be that

We have to win three consecutive single-leg matches with the home side chosen at random in order to advance to the group stage, starting with midweek after the first weekend of PL matches.

The chances of us fucking that up are kinda high, actually. We'll be playing someone better than Colchester on the way at least, and very possibly on a cold night in Estonia.

So what kind of team do you think we will put out for the qualifiers? Did Jose go strong with United when he won it before?

Im not to sure on acadmey players but others have said Cirkin is a good prospect, hopefully Skippy stays around as well and gets some minutes to show Jose what he can offer, would also like us to keep Foyth and give him a chance to impress. Maybe we could line up like below which surely should be enough to beat a team of farmers?

New HGGK
Foyth, Tanganga Kim-Min Cirkin
Skipp Gedson
Bergwijn Dele Sessengon
New ST

Depends on opposition and Internationals. No point resting Internationals only for the International Manager to play them for 90 mins. However if PLM next then yes rest them.

I doubt Skipp and Foyth are still around by then or that Kim is brought in and ready to go if he is brought in.

I would think something like:

Back-up Goalie
New RB-Tanganga-Dier (c)-Cirkin
Gedson-Alli-Winks
Bergwijn-New FW-Lamela

Maybe Sess is there instead of Lamela but not sure what their plan is there.

Ideally replace Bergwijn with Moura because Bergwijn would be starting in the PL but I doubt Jose starts him over his golden boy Moura.

The squad above should be all guys that aren't starting for us in the PL so it shouldn't tire them out. On;y Bergwijn is likely to be playing in the Nations League so they shouldn't be tired from that.

If they get a big lead by half time as they should then an easy time to take off guys like Lamela, Bergwijn so they can avoid injury and be ready for key roles on the bench in the PL.

The biggest question will be RB for me. If they only bring in one RB what are they doing in Cup competitions with that spot as the new RB can't play all Cup games, all PL games, all Europa games. Hope they don't move Tanganga there as he should be developing as a CB and only used sparingly at RB to fill in for an injury.

Whatever team he put out will have the majority of the players he trusted. He definitely want to win the Europa League as a backup to CL. So expect no change in defense but maybe 1-2 in midfield.

Our opposition in the qualifiers is going to be so bad that our academy team could probably win them all. They are going to be sub-league 2 level.

Not as you get closer to the group stage, partially because the CL qualifying rejects start diving into the pool.

Unseeded teams in the play-off round this year (we'll surely be seeded with our UEFA coefficient) included Torino, AZ Alkmaar, Strasbourg, Spartak Moscow, AEK Athens, etc. Not teams you can safely trot the kids out against.

But it's true that in that first round we may well be playing a bunch of Baltic farmers. Wolves got Crusaders of the semi-pro Northern Irish league this year. That tells you the quality and we'll be lucky if we don't get an away game to a much less favorable destination.

It would be cool for a bunch of Faroese sheep herders to have a run out at our new stadium though.

Agreed. We cannot be too relaxed during these games. Especially since they are one leg.

Thankfully I don't see Jose as someone to take knockout football lightly. He'll want to win this and we will field a decently strong side.

Mad schedule.

The more I think about it the more I want players like Sess and Foyth to stay and not go on loan.

Agreed. Even after this mad start, assuming we make it through the Europa Qualifiers, we'll still be playing every midweek plus November will have another special international triple-header - we'll just be rid of the stupid midweeks with two matches. And then straight into the festive schedule after that...

Yeah. Which is why I'm thinking having Skipp available would be better for us than a loan.
He should be getting game time with us given that schedule.
