So an ideal scenario is we win our next 2 games against Ludogorets, Then Antwerp win 1 and draw 1 of there next 2 games against Lask and the group will be as below, then to Qualify all we need to do is not Lose away to Lask which falls between our Chelsea and Gooners game in the PL.

Antwerp 10
Spurs 9
Lask 4
Ludogorets 0

Edit - I guess its even better if Antwerp were to Draw both games then the table would be

Spurs - 9
Antwerp - 8
Lask - 5
Ludogorets - 0

But in this situation if we lost to Lask and Antwerp win the table would be

Antwerp - 11
Spurs - 9
Lask -8
Ludogorets - 0

Then it would go down to the last game and we would just need to beat Antwerp at home to go through , any way lets just win the next 2 games and then see how the table looks, regardless of the results if we were to go full strength at home against Antwerp we can get the win
If we have to give this much thought to these teams, God help us when we play a decent team, especially if those Muppets from last night play again.

How many points do you normally need to qualify from the group? As we could do with already qualifying by the time we play Lask on December 3rd, winning our next 2 games would see us on 9 points, would that be enough to qualify?

Last year Ludogrets came 2nd in their group to qualify for the knock out rounds with 8 points, but all the rest qualified with 9+ points (one or two clubs did nor qualify with 9 points) just depends on how the results/points are distributed in the group).

Last night was about as bad as it could go for us and as good as it could for the other team and they still needed a horrible individual mistake to win the game 1-0. Sure they had other chances that they flubbed but that is why they finished 4th in Belgium last year and have a recent history of squat.

It was certainly a frustrating game but if anything it should show why we should go for this Cup. We played as bad as we could and still came close to getting a result against the biggest threat we have in the group who were playing their best.

Next time we play try not to have 3 guys who would have been as effective had they stood on the sideline all half and we come away with an easy win.

With 4 group stage games played Spurs have the second most attempts made in the competition with 75. And we sit in 4th in attempts on target with 25. Hoffenheim top both those stats. We are 6th in goals made in the group stage and also 6th in passes made.

Thinking about the fixture schedule we have.

We need 1 point to qualify from the group. What happens if we finish second in the group? Can we get drawn against a CL dropout?

If no then worth playing total 2nd team on both games against Antwerp and LASK.

Need to finish as group winners. While we'll probably beat the other group winners (including AC Milan) over 2 legs, I'd rather get easier ties in the knockout rounds.

Qualified teams:

Tottenham
Antwerp
Roma
Woolwich
Slavia Prague
Bayer Leverkusen
Rangers
Benfica
Granada
PSV
Leicester
Braga
Lille
AC Milan
Villarreal
Dinamo Zagreb
Hoffenheim
Red Star Belgrade

And I think it's likely that:

Olympiakos
Krasnodar
Club Brugge
Dynamo Kiev

Will be those dropping into the knock out rounds for sure. Some lovely ties in there.

I wouldn't mind if we finish second, getting a big club next round and our players will get more motivated. Also it seems Mourinho do a better job in this kind of games. Win and we get motivated, lose and we focus on the Premier.
