It does not help when only two of the selected XI seem to be able to pass the ball.
Only Kane and Alderweireld were able to consistently find a Spurs player.
Recruitment and training should be concentrated in rectifying this.

I’m amazed, no shocked, a team with Sissoko in it managed to keep losing the ball and not finding a player with a pass. It’s like playing with 10 men when he’s on the field, or more accurately, against 12!
The midfield can't function because they spend 80% of their time having to baby the defense.
You give anyone Sanchez, Dier, Davies, Aurier, and see if they can do better. It's like having a Porsche but installing Lada spares. It doesn't work.
The second half of your post I agree with. The first I don’t as that is not how a football team functions. However, in the curious world of Jose nothing much functioned as a team should. It’s over now. We must see what improvements come from a new management team.
And add Doherty then a mix of Sissoko and Winks which also makes us defend too deep making players like PEH and Tanguay not function to their best
