I can’t say he’ll really be missed, good at making deals no doubt but I was never convinced by his football vision.

You could be right, but then why the fuck did the new board appoint him into this hashed up new “co sporting director” role if they were of that mindset?

This place can't do without false dichotomies, and his name isn't Levy or Hitchen. This was enough for a good amount of people to sing his praises, while in the same breath complaining about the deterioration of the squad during his tenure here without connecting the dots.

He was rumoured to return already when Levy was still chairman. Might have been a deal in place that the new leadership had to honour. Or..just more of the utter incompetence we have come to expect.
