Management Fabio Paratici

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Hahaha, even if you think he's shit (most do) the fact this is happening is yet another string to the ever branching bow that is our general incompetence. We are firmly, and without equal, an utter laughing stock

They only just did their couch dinner date recently, the old Cagney and Lacey of sporting directors, which was essentially an open admission that Lange wasn't up to the task. I wonder what will happen next, because he almost certainly won't be replaced and I can bet he won't have anyone else coming in to support him either. Lucious Lange lugging us to lethargy

Yeah things are really fucking bad at the club.

That guy on X, can't remember his name but he does get bits of info, said that Paratici's contract was already done when Levy was sacked, and it would have cost the club more to cancel the contract.

Even so, the scariest bit about it all, is that this now sounds like we are going to go all in on Lange. The same Lange who appointed Frank.

He's going to have all the power.

We are truly fucked.

This would be the greatest moment of our season so far. This guy is 90% responsible for the scattergun collection of shite we’ve accrued and call a squad. Next step is to get rid of Lange, but I actually think getting rid of Paratici is the biggest step yet. I was worried that he would be entrenched for another season or 2 since we just brought him back.

Also, the guy was always dogshit, even at Juventus. The fact Fiorentina is the club moving for him and not other top clubs in Italy or abroad tells you everything. He’s an old school put a bunch together and organise them defensively type DOF. Complete dogshit the age of football where board, DOF and coach are all in sync and building in unison. The fact that he tried to hire Gattuso, then showed levy YouTube clips of Nunos Valencia to show he coaches “attacking football” tells you everything you need to know about the circus that was Daniel Levy’s Tottenham post 2017. I’m pretty sure the main reason we hired him is because he was good at convincing free agents to come to Juventus. Free agents who included finished rubbish like Aaron Ramsey.

This is great news , cheer up mate

Just need Lange fucked off next
I get ya but you have to see how bad this is optically and strategy wise. Paratici was a major appointment just 2 months ago & now he's leaving to go to a team at bottom of Serie A.
It leads to a whole load of questions about what a mess it is behind the scenes and how clueless our "new" owners are.

Maybe we'll bring back Steve Hitchen ☺️☺️☺️

Pure speculation, but if Paratici's deal was done in the background and he was lined up as our new DoF (and had been working as a consultant throughout) surely Frank's more likely to be his man? Why would we give Lange the power to pick a manager then immediately make him less influential on first team transfers? Makes no sense.

Pretty sure I've heard rumblings that Paratici was a big Frank fan anyway. Would make a lot of sense as it's basically the exact same mistake we made with Nuno all over again. Paratici's got contacts and a decent eye for a player but is shite at picking managers and seems equally wank at actually constructing a functional squad.

As for Lange, I think we need to bin him off. Would be farical to give him the main DoF job again after we'd sidelined him for Paratici. Ultimately these guys are both a hangover from the Levy era and, while Vinai and the new board are somewhat complicit in their appointments, they'd be much better off getting their own guy in and starting again.

Wouldn't be surprised if this Fiorentina thing is largely engineered by Paratici himself so he can parachute out of Spurs before the shit hits the fan with Frank. If anything is a gift both financially and politically as it gives everyone an easy out and an excuse to refresh the DoF role.

I can't say he's been a success at Spurs but he certainly was not at all "dogshit" at Juve. During the time he spent at Juve - from 2010 to 2021 - they won 19 titles, 9 consecutive Seri A titles, and reached the CL final 2 times. And Paratici was vital in building Juve's squad that time. After he left Juve they haven't won any Seri A titles.

He was partnered by Giuseppe Marotta who went on to Inter.
Wild guess that Marotta is the George Michael and Parataci is the Andrew Ridgeley of that partnership.
