Don't see the need to drop the keeper anymore for favours. I like friedel but I don't think that a keeper is a position that needs resting.
I respect the Europa league, but because top four is so within touching distance I wouldn't mind resting a lot of our outfield players.

I'll be gutted if he sends out a weak side and shows the comp no respect, especially considering since he's been our gaffer we got knocked out of both cups (although the FA Cup weren't a surprise). He knows what the fans want though so I'm confident he'll send a strong side out

I see what you say, I think AVB's selections were always a bit heavy on first teamers - maybe giving them loads of games to speed up the "gelling" process and his fascination in the Europa but it just didn't seem to work did it (well in Europa it did but not in the prem).

yea good point he took it too far, I'm sure he played virtually our first choice XI even after we'd qualified. I'd like to see a mix as well, but if we get to the quarters we should put out a v strong side, good chance of getting to Turin as long as we avoid Juve

You know I thought this when we played citeh and hadn't played for a while coz the previous weekend was fa cup that we weren't in - we just looked awful......as we all know.

considering we're out of both cups, I'd like to give this comp a good fucking crack. That said, I think Dnipro are weak enough to rest a few.

Haven't we played Anzhi twice this year and Shaktar Donetsk once (Or twice?) in the 2007/2008 Europa league campaign?

If I'm Tim I'm developing two different squads for the league and EL. We have enough depth to run out a team fully made up of 1st teamers in Europa without a single one having to play in the weekend fixture. Lloris would be the only one I would play in back to back fixtures. Though we might have to be a little more flexible in the short term with a couple of injuries.

Still would rather not see any of Walker, Kaboul, Vertonghen, Rose, Paulinho, Dembele, Eriksen, Bentaleb, or Adebayor involved in EL at the moment. Our squad and younger players are hungry for appearances and Europa is perfect for them to gain fitness and impress. Hoping to see Soldado, Townsend (getting back into match sharpness), Capoue (get fitness), Naughton, Fryers, Sigurdsson, Chadli, Veljokvic, Kane, maybe even Lennon or Sandro if he needs a game.

Due to a couple of injuries we have may have to play a couple of starters but I'd rather not see more than 1 or 2 play. Our squad is massive and has talent. Got to get the fringe players games to keep them fresh and happy and protect the first them for the league. If we get to the quarters we could start putting in more starters but for now I'd prefer if we didn't.
