Definitely meant that one!Next you'll be saying he didn't mean his Europa screamer from 40 yards.
But theyre actually musnt be anyone better. Dont see why son hadnt tried more but who else is thereIt's pretty embarrassing and disrespectful to the rest of the squad that we are still letting Kane take free kicks. Unless he somehow bangs them in in training. The only possible explanation is that the rest of them are even worse but I'd find that amazing. You could go to League 2 and get better free kick takers than us.
It's like saying to the rest of the squad "He's our best player/highest earner so he gets to take free kicks even if he sucks at them." That's not how a TEAM is supposed to work.
Yeah exactly didnt know whether to laugh disagree or what with that ridiculous commentCome on mate. We don’t have to turn every thread into an ENIC/Levy bashing thread. To suggest that Levy / Lewis get involved in selecting FK takers is, quite frankly, laughable.
To me everybody is better than Kane until they take 100 shit free kicks like he has.But theyre actually musnt be anyone better. Dont see why son hadnt tried more but who else is there
Regards to throw ins. Why don't we have a long throwin in the side. You can't be offside for a throw in. Now I am not saying we need throw long every time. But they can cause panic and I don't see why we don't have occasional go at using one.Free Kicks, Corners, Throw-ins, even kick offs need to be practiced at least a couple of times a week
we need to get a coaches who specialist in free kicks etc, they are a big part of the game
watch our free kicks we never have someone running down the side and croosing from byline
watch our throw-in's its always the same player runs short and knocks ball back th thrower, or thrower throws back to LWB/RWB position
when i coached kids/youths/women we practice throw-ins, kick offs, free kicks, we had 3 or 4 moves for each and everyone had a go at each position, for the first few sessions it added an hour to the training, but it was done before the season started, then we did it at the end of training ( we split into 3/4 groups and practice the lot in 15/20 mins) before they played a kickabout match
with our kick off move we either got a shot on target or a goal near every time
Less than that. Eriksen's FK prowess was overplayed.Someone here was throwing about stats quite recently..... IIRC Eriksen would only get 2 or 3 FK goals per season.......
Was he prolific then? Because for all the flack Kane is rightfully getting for being shit, I seem to only recall Eriksen scoring a handful. In six years.Less than that. Eriksen's FK prowess was overplayed.
Just looked it up. He scored 8 in the Premier League, which puts him in the top 10 list since it started. He also scored free kicks in cup games. Pretty sure he scored one in the league cup semi to help get to the final under Poch. Again pretty sure in final he struct the woodwork from a free kick when it was nil nil. Typical Spurs.Less than that. Eriksen's FK prowess was overplayed.
And Dier. To be honest Lloris probably has a better chance of scoring from a free kick than Kane.I don't know why Lucas and Son aren't taking more. Both have a higher success rate than Kane.
So 8 in six years. That's not terrible of course but hardly proflic. The most recent I remember was against Juve before he left.Just looked it up. Would like to see how many he scored season by season in all comps. I suspect it tailed off.
According to my dodgy memory, we haven’t had hardly any success at free kicks since Eriksen’s early seasons for us. To begin with he was very decent and and scored fairly regularly from them, then it all dried up for some reason.
