I really hope we don't play the wretched 3/5 at the back. Can't stand this system.
Think we will go down if we do it every game. We are playing Dragusin instead of Richy ( in a 4-3-3). A player that should be playing out for a player that really shouldn't be because of the system.

Not against the back 3 tbh. We looked alright (by our awful standards) playing it under Frank until the City first half, after which he abandoned it then we were utter wank playing a back 4 against Newcastle.

Main issues against Woolwich were the wingbacks (Djed too right footed, Gray not a natural full-back), the lack of technical ability, composure and passing in midfield and central defence, and the very existence of Dragusin. All those problems would've likely still been there regardless of whether we played with a back 3 or 4. And we don't have any fit wingers anyway, which means shunting Xavi, RKM out wide or shoehorning in Tel if we play with a back 4.

Hopefully against Fulham Danso and Porro will come straight back in - those 2 will help provide a bit of balance and mean we can get Dragusin out of the team.

Would you drop Spence from LWB? I think you have to on their small pitch. Could even play Spence, Danso and VDV in a back 3

I'd probably play Souza and Porro as wingbacks, or Spence at RB if Porro's only fit enough for the bench. Think ideally we need Porro's passing with Romero out, though.

Spence as a wide CB is an interesting one. He's got the height, pace, 1v1 ability and is OK on the ball (miles better than Dragusin at least). Suits Tudor's want for the wide CBs to push up high. Just worry about him positionally and dealing with crosses, etc. I doubt Tudor would go for it but you never know? If Danso's back I'd defo prefer Spence as the RCB over Dragusin.

Not sure Spurs have the luxury of choice.

[LINEUP]Vicario
Palhinha Dragusin Ven
Porro Sarr Bissouma Gallagher Spence
Xavi
RKM [/LINEUP]

Solanke will get 30 minutes in place of RKM; or Xavi, if hes having a stinker.
Danso will get 30 minutes in place of Palhinha.
Richarlison will replace one of the midfield 3 if we are chasing a goal.
Tel will replace one of the back 3 if we are desperately chasing a goal.

Should be 4-2-3-1.

Easier for players to adapt to. Carrick has shown at United how a team struggling can improve with that simple change away from the issues 3-4-3 gives you.

If this manager sticks to 3-4-3 we could be digging our own grave. We don’t have the personnel. Not recruited for that system for the past 3 years.

Mind boggling if that’s the only system this Tudor geezer plays.

I also think those same XI players COULD easily be jigged into a 3-4-1-2 formation... If required!

Porro & Danso fit hopefully, 🤞🏼if not, it'll have to be Spence (RB) and Dragusin (CB)

Souza must be able to fit in at LB,
cos it's one position we DON'T have to fit a Square Spence into a round hole!!

The problem we’ve had this season with 4-2-3-1 is that without inverting a FB into the MF , we struggle to progress the ball through midfield.

If this manager sticks to 3-4-3 we could be digging our own grave. We don’t have the personnel. Not recruited for that system for the past 3 years.

But a lot of the players we still have and recruited kind of fit it well.

Simons best games for RBL were as a left 10 coming into the middle from the left,

Bissouma was recruited to be a double pivot Cm for Conte

Porro and Spence recruited as WBs. Udogie recruited as a WB.

Solanke perfect for a lone 9.

Muani clearly likes the role for Tudor.

Kulusevski if he ever comes back was a Conte player

Kudus is a 10 that can play wide. I’m expecting him to look great in this wide 10.

Honestly, I don’t want to see it long term but for a short term kick in the backside, it’s not mental to me. Granted I don’t know shit about the actual differences in formation and system. I can see the logic though
