hey, im a galatasaray fan from istanbul, as i mentioned before in this thread, since youre not a fenerbahce or besiktas fan youre gonna be alright unless you get stupidly drunk and look for a trouble. as long as you act friendly no one gonna do anything to you. you can even have fun with the guys i believe. honestly i came to this forum to see some cocky comments like manU fans did last years Ucl game, but you guys seem pretty reasonable :)

People often say you will find some of the most reasonable people on the planet in this forum.

Apparently no team in Europe has scored more goals from set pieces. I know our defending of set pieces has generally improved but I have no doubts this is something they'll look to exploit.

This one isn't going to be pretty. We're basically going to see a miss match side without most of it's key players and without even some of the second In reserve players stepping in either.

A draw would genuinely be incredible considering the circumstances. A win seems unthinkable.

He should be taking it seriously. I thought he was all about changing the underlying attitude at the club? He doesn't do that by accepting losses and free hits. We should never go into a game not caring if we win, that's losers mentality.

Some of you chatting shit like "we've as good as qualified, the rest of the games are easy". Fuck me, how long have you lot been watching Spurs? Is this your first rodeo? Yeah on paper we should roll over Rangers. Will we though? It's a different question entirely. Theyll be treating it as a cup final, if your attitude, and the attitude of others, is allowed to permeate we'll not take that seriously either and they'll roll us over.

As for the number of kids he's taking, that's the situation we're in. Romero, VDV, Werner, Richy are all injured.

At the end of the day it's personal opinion. I'm much more engaged in the Europa League this season as it's something decent we can win. We can't realistically win the league.
Just so I know from yourself and the 3 that agreed.

Mathematically we need 1 point from 5 games to guarantee qualification and there is a 97% chance that our current 9 point haul will be good enough to qualify.

Are you honestly saying we’re getting ahead of ourselves when we say we are as good as qualified?

That needs answering before anything else can be taken forwards because I find it mental that anyone thinks that we’re not already as good as qualified

We’re not cocky but a few in here can be cocks. Not fighting cocks but frightened cocks. Can’t stop thinking about cock.

Istanbul is a wonderful city, getting a game there should be a big win by itself because it can be a great trip for fans. Hope tonight is a fantastic occasion whatever the result!

Ange has quite rightly prioritised Sundays game which is far bigger than this one. The argument we won’t win the league is valid - but so is the argument that we can still finish high up the Europa table without winning this one.

I’m looking forward to seeing some of the younger and reserve players have a proper test tonight in a cauldron of an atmosphere - can Archie Gray maintain his remarkable composure and poise in such an atmosphere.

This is a low stakes game for us and we should just try and enjoy it, knowing that their are no real ramifications if we lose.

Okan Buruk’s squad is riding high with an 11-match unbeaten streak across all competitions, including a recent 2-1 triumph over Beşiktaş in the Turkish Süper Lig.

With this momentum, Galatasaray holds an eight-point cushion atop the league standings, poised to dominate domestically.

Yet Thursday’s clash with Tottenham remains a focal point; a win would inch Galatasaray closer to the knockout stages, a feat they’ve achieved in two of the last three seasons.

While history hasn’t always favored the Lions against English clubs – their only recent success being a memorable 3-2 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford – Galatasaray is banking on home advantage and a reinvigorated lineup to tip the scales.

Missing only left-back İsmail Jakobs due to a knee injury, Galatasaray will welcome the return of goalkeeper Fernando Muslera from suspension.

You need to look at post 382 on the previous page to see that future draws are seeded and the higher you finish the more likely you get an easier match and thus more chance of actually winning something. 1 point from the remaining games will see us in the play offs and more games.
As you do not care about the game I assume you will not be watching.

I was in Turkey earlier in the year and had a lovely time, people seemed so friendly and the weather was amazing, would highly recommend for a holiday and I will defiantly be going back, my question to all the Turkish fans lurking is how are away fans likely to be treated tonight , obviously i'm talking about those who just want to go to the game and not have a scrap ?
If you don’t shout loud enough to disturb others, don’t insult national symbols such as the flag, don’t drink excessively and don’t mess with others, especially women, people will even be inclined to help you and joke with you. However, troublemakers can be found anywhere in the world, and Istanbul, with its 16 million residents, is no exception. 🤷‍♂️

But at the moment, I can say that people are not particularly looking to fight you with sticks, knives, or stones in their hands just because you are a foreigner (fan). I'd say 99% of people are just looking to feel the excitement of tonight's big game, and looking for a win.

yeah your right, where ever you go there will be idiots who want to cause trouble, all clubs have these kind of fans however our travelling fans are 99.9% there like you, just to enjoy a European game and Tonight feels like a proper European Game, i mean as in 2 proper teams and I really wish I looked into coming to this one in person!
The EL gets a lot of stick as its the ugly Twin to the CL, but games like tonight are what its about!

Interested in the team Ange goes for tonight think he has to go strong now with the injuries, no choice really
I think he said in his presser that he will be rotating the squad, but of course, because of the players unavailable (Odobert, Spence, Romero, VDV, Richy, Timo, Mikey) he's going to have to play some of the starters. Son, I think, is going to start for example.

It's going to be a helluva game. Their form is incredible, yet they don't do well against teams that press the living daylights out of them.

Let's see what happens, but as you, I'll make a prediction when I see the line-up.

I've been looking for this one for months and it will be real test for us, Tottenham are always a strong side and I don't believe a few injuries can change that. We'll need to be very very careful tonite.
