trouble is it was Poch that wanted him, if it was one dud poch want that would be ok, but its not just one dud

That was when Poch was working with a limited budget and had to settle for Plan B or Plan C. Those are more likely to be duds. And even the some of the Plan As of a lot of the teams with money to spend end up being duds (Di Maria, Bakayoko, etc., etc.). You just never know how a player is going to adapt and you can't pin that on the manager or the transfer committee.

With transfers you win some you lose some. For every N'Koudou there's a Son. For every N'jie there's a Wanyama (pre-injury). For every Fazio there's an Alderweireld. That's just how it goes.
