Germ Management

This is ridiculous, but whenever I see players walking out of the tunnel holding the hands of kids, the first thing I think is: "oh god, kids are such germ machines. Do they make the kids use hand sanitizer before this?"

Germ management in general is (or should be) important to teams as one player illness can really spread around a locker room. The Sky cycling team is infamous for their germ management habits: Tour De France Teams Are World-Class Germaphobes

Does anybody have any notion of what football teams do to try and keep players from getting sick?
