Ex-Spurs Player Giovani Lo Celso

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Either that or our physios and medics are hacks. Considering how many hammies Aurier has torn in his time with us has no one bothered to tell him to stretch? I also think the medical squad isn't able to stand up to Poch and certain players (hi Harry K) when they push to get out on the pitch early, when in reality they might need a week or two more of rehab to be 100%.

Or the First Team Sport Scientist finds it difficult to stand up to the manager ?

It’s partly to blame on him, seems harsh but we are talking elite athletes. He knew he was close to getting his dream move to Spurs so both him and Ndombele should of done all they could to be up to pace. Poch also needs to adjust training for new arrivals, they clearly need longer time to get up to pace. People were already commenting on how overweight Ndombele looked then bang muscle injury as well as not being up to 90 minutes. Still think both are cracking players, just need to have Kane, Ronaldo attitudes.

Lo Celso got clattered, it was not an issue with his conditioning. He took a whack from some nobhead and hurt his hip. There were 10 yellow cards in this “friendly” between two teams that hate each other, especially after the Copa America where Messi got a red card. It was a game that should never have been played at this point in the season.

As I said before if there's a foul (card offence)in a friendly and the player injured misses league matches as a result then the club of the fouler should be fined. Amount to be calculated by number of games missed. That might stop some of these rash tackles.

What the heck! After a couple of seasons being relatively injury-free, it certainly caught up with us last season. I put that down to so many players being involved in the World Cup so late on. These mid-season international friendlies are meaningless and with the long haul travel, detrimental to players' well-being. We definitely need to be a bit more 'cute' in letting our players always being available.
Poch needs to rethink his double-training days, too. I think players aren't being allowed enough rest and recovery and it's putting a lot of stress on their bodies.

Particularly running a full training session the day before games. I am not schooled in these arts but certainly it would be better to run a lighter practice session the day before a game just to keep up conditioning rather than going balls to the wall as we seem to do?

What a fucking wanker. For a poxy fucking friendly as well.

This is very much a downside to signing South American players, apart from injuries, which can happen to any players on international duty, every few weeks they have to jet half way round the world and back. It's a major fucking ball ache.

We can’t even say with complete assurance what his injury is. We are still guessing if it’s his foot or hip or what the club say. We have a player who Poch said was completely unfit who went away for a friendly and got injured. When Kane gets smashed in the ankle late is the game does fatigue play a part.
