Bit disappointed with him of late. Should have had 2/3 more goals, considering the chances he's had.

I just wonder if he's reduced his once obsessive focus on finishing that we used to read about.

Under Mou's more "tactically aware" style of training he's certainly become an even better all rounder, but maybe at the expense of those post-training finishing sessions.

Maybe being a dad again is demanding some of his attention too.

Fowler has 163 in one and 162 in another,

So aside from Malen, Kane and Lewandowski. Is any other striker involved in as many goals right now?

Kane - 33
Lewandowski - 30
Malen - 25
Son - 25
Mbappe - 22
Haaland - 22

Cant find any other strikers with 22 or more goal involvements from the top leagues.

Bruno Fernandes is on 24 though.

The biggest thing for me is how Kane (and Son as well, to be fair) do it in a team that is not remotely dominant. Most all-time greats are part of teams that frequently win their domestic league, if not having a monopoly on it.

He almost is in most matches now. Am I the only one that wants to never see him in midfield, no matter how good at passing and assisting he is?
If you mean that how I think you do, I mostly agree. Usually Kane dropping deep is an indicator that the team is failing to create and be progressive without him. In that sense, it's not typically a good sign.

Not sure how WhoScored.com calculates scores but their methodology is at least somewhat respected (though the Messi thing is odd). They reckon that Kane's been the third best player in Europe this season. I don't disagree.

He’s a great passer and creator and very good in the middle of the park. But he’s truly exceptional at finishing. I just want him concentrating on that.

And yes, Kane dropping deep means he’s not getting enough of the ball, but he’s stepping on the toes of the guys who should be getting him the ball. He can’t make the through pass and finish it himself.

Yeah, that's exactly what I thought you meant. I agree completely. Though it's probably worth noting that Southgate and his staff clearly value Kane's playmaking ability so much that they've voluntarily dropped him into that deeper role on a permanent basis. It's been brutally effective against top tier teams when Rashford and Sterling have been on song. But it's still not my favourite role for him.
