Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Nothing difficult at all.
Lewandoski is still better than Kane though.
He would make a difference for us on the trophy front even now.
Kane doesn’t

Kane being second to Lewandowski means absolutely nothing. And he would also make little to no difference in this Tottenham side unless he's bringing a bunch of his team-mates with him. You're deluded.

J

Yes he would, he would bottle finals because he knows how to win them

It's one thing to play in a side that often dominates finals than it is to play in one that simply doesn't. Put Kane in that Bayern side and I have no doubts whatsoever that he scores goals and helps to win finals. Of course, you won't agree. Your agenda won't allow you to.

He might, he might not.
The difference is a world class player would make a difference in a shit side, not blend in with the shit

The last time I checked (which admittedly, was a while ago) we had a lower PPG without Kane, and a higher loss rate in the league. As well as scoring less per game. Either way the sample size is too small without Kane, and there's no way you can reliably state we are better without him based on a handful of matches.

And he's a flat track bully who has scored against every team in the Premier League, and has one of the best goal to game ratios of any player in CL history. So all in all not too shabby.

Limited I can get on board with .. to an extent. He's a player who requires service as he lacks explosive acceleration, athleticism or dribbling ability, so can struggle to create his own goals aside from his elite shooting ability in and around the box. Getting space for those shots consistently is tricky as he isn't agile.

If the team is operating at a high enough level around him, he can be relied upon to score more goals than almost any striker in the world. But he needs that service in to him and without it he has a tendency to drop far too deep or be on the periphery of games.

The way you talk about him though, you'd think he was a Janssen who could score tap ins. It's over the top.
quite agree with your arguments on Kane.

At his breakthrough 14-15 season,Kane could somehow create his own scoring angles with his accurate scoring ability when he received the ball. The goal vs Chelsea was the best example of this.

Even though Kane was not famous for his pace, he still had just enough pace to lead the line at those peak seasons. Not until his second serious injury in 18-19. Playing him in the starting lineup in the CL Final was really really frustrating.

Say we could sign ONE player of your choice this winter, do you name Ronaldo or Mbappe or whoever?
Or do you say “nobody because no one can make a difference in this side”

I certainly wouldn't sign a striker when the team is lacking so much creativity, if I could only choose one player.
