We don't have any other strikers at the club, we do have other CMs
im no fanboy of kane but i do have sympathy for him. the players that ended the chelsea game out there with him are far better for him than what started the game. he needs players who can actually PLAY football. he needs a player up there like gil with him whos looking to create chances for him, he needs players in midfield who actually have football intellect and can play forward and give him service, he needs wide players who can actually cross a decent fucking ball! without all of tht what chance has he got? might as well stick an absolute shithouse up front because it wouldnt make any difference. proper players need players on the same wave length as them to get the best out of them.
And somehow our alternative to Kane as the free kick taker is Eric Dier.
Kinda says it all about the squad's overall technical ability level.
On the ball he's still our most capable player along with Ndombele. We just don't have the players to get the ball to him anything like often enough, and his own movement is nowhere near what it once was to be able to help himself. Not a great combination.
Don't understand why Son has never taken any for us, seems like he would be the obvious free kick taker

id like to see what gil is like at freekicks because watching us he looks like our most technically competent player along with kane.
kane and dier do not have the finesse in brushin up and round the ball to be taking freekicks.

hes been told to stay forward no which is fine, but look at the service hes getting? abolute dog shit crosses from fullbacks that are so poor and consistent that they are defying law of averages by some way. then hes got no one in the middle whos opening up the defence for him.
unless we rectify this in the january window, not selling him in the summer was a HUGE mistake.
