The thing with Kane and lack of trophies that I try to explain to supporters of other teams is this - People will talk about Kane for years and years, he will go down as one of ,if not the best strikers the world of football has ever seen whether he wins anything or not because of what he has done, which is his best.

He will only be remembered as one of the best ever...by spurs fans. The rest of the world will never talk about him that way because 'how many cups did he win', 'how many titles did he win' , 'how many finals did he score in' and similar things will always be brought up.

It obviously counts, but that wont make people remember him as one of the best in the world ever by nonspurs fans. To be remembered, he will have to do more in big games /important moments. As things stand, in the euro final, he didnt do much and in the last worldcup hes missed a pen. And at spurs hes been unmemorable in the finals too.
Joint top goalscorer for England and baring injury will take that record which will not be broken for years. add that to PL goal scorer if he breaks Alan Shearer record. Alan Shearer won the league with Blackburn but is more famous for being leading PL goal scorer.
