Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

There’s only room for one star striker in a team. Haaland would resent Kane as they both mainly care about goals.
Haaland has been a super team player this season. Nothing like mbappe.

That said, I don’t really know if Kane would make city better. They have enough creators. All of city’s players do a lot of work off the ball every time they lose it. Even Haaland. Kane hasn’t put in that work lately but maybe can put if he’s not playing 90 every game.

Let's say he goes to another club, the tactics and quality of other players only allow him to score 10 a season, but he might win a trophy or two. What would he prefer at this stage of his career?
If the tactics we've deployed this season and the way we've played doesn't limit his output then nothing can and I think it's impossible for him to finish on under 20 goals all comps in a season. But imo he'd take a much lower goal return if it means winning some trophies.

I’ve never understood why people think Kane and Haaland couldn’t play together, on paper it’s an absolute dream partnership. City would be foolish to not go for him if he’s on a free, they always look to bolster their squad with top players.
They could absolutely play together, but playing together for Pep would require some tactical adaptation.

Pep's a fucking genius, he could figure it out I'm sure, and he's a long time admirer of both players. But it would be different from how they've played.

It's time to cash in on Kane now 70/ 80m we should take it, it makes no sense to lose him for nothing next season. As for him signing a new contract, I don't see that happening and frankly he would be stupid to do that. We are a club going backwards, .no manager, no DOF, no European football, no prospect of trophies, midtable side at best, relegation side at worse.

Well don't say it out loud ya Willy!

Kane is a brilliant and adaptable player, and definitely could play with Haaland. Though Harland crunched scary numbers this season I truly believe Kane is the better all round footballer and their styles would complement one another - a frightening thought for other teams. I don't think he'll end up at City though.

30 goals in this team is a remarkable achievement by Kane given he was at once by far and away our best goalscorer and creative player.

Evening everyone, I’ve just done a short 4-minute video breaking down why I believe Harry Kane’s currently a better player than Erling Haaland for those interested. It’s obviously been a season from hell for all concerned with Tottenham, but that shouldn’t take away from the fact that this man’s managed to bag 30 goals with the club in their current state. Would love to hear your take and whether you agree or disagree!

All the papers running Kane not for sale headlines today. Either that’s us telling people to fuck off or it’s Man U leaking it because they don’t want to pay for him.

Ornstein said on Sky’s Sunday morning football programme that he doesn’t think he’ll leave. We don’t want to sell and kaa as ne isn’t agitating for a move.

Sky are absolutely desperate for him to go to man u though. Really driving it hard.

As we've seen this year, 12 months is a long time in football.

He only needs a sniff that success is just around the corner and he may give it another go.

That's far more likely if he stays than if he goes.

I just don’t get the desperation from some of our fans to sell him. Brainwashed by the SSN machine.
I think Kane is waiting to see who we get in. Our next managerial appointment will mean whether he gives it another 12 months or if he agitates for a move this season.

Levy is the weird one in all of this - I can't see him letting Kane walk out of the club on a free, but Levy also knows that our best chance of success next year is with Kane in the team.

Levy must be agonizing over the decision over a large transfer fee and having Kane one more season.

He’ll keep him and think he can persuade him to stay. He did the same with eriksen. He thought he could convince him but obviously couldn’t. And eriksen had made much stronger loves to leave than Kane has so far. I got one am not worried he’ll go. I think too much is stacked in our favour however much sky don’t like it. If you listen to most journalists, they also seem to think he’ll stay. Not that I’m certain they know much more than you or I.

I said a week or two ago that Kane is a 30+ league goals a season striker, not a 20+ one. The main reason he's not been getting those numbers consistently is due to his injuries and our quality as a team. In Bayern, Real Madrid, City etc. there is no question he would get those numbers most seasons.
