Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We talk about a very young possible phenomenon (Kean, class 2000) and we play on the name to refer to the true phenomenon Harry Kane, a tribute.

Get your head out of the fucking clouds and show some fight! Stop laughing when you miss a sitter, a player should be angry when they miss an easy chance. In all the competitive sport I have played, I have never seen someone at full tilt laughing off a missed chance.

A day to forget for him. Missed some golden chances. Seriously could, and should, have had a hat-trick today. Such profligacy proved critical to our defeat imo

It's an unfortunate and weird coincidence that Kane's return has seen us go 4 games without a win.

But he ain't the problem and neither is he the solution.

Him laughimg is less arrogance as opposed to if not I cry mentality.

The issues are the manager's choices and a collective mindset that still needs to toughen up and then find consistency.

We can rightly have a moan about the missed chances but everything has to start from defence. If the back line, with a proper midfield set-up, had held firm, we sneak a 1-0 win.

When you dominate to the extent that we did in the first half and create several huge chances, you need to score them. We shouldn't need to sneak anything when we are so superior to Southampton and opened them up so many times.

All areas of our team are not working at the moment, we are not scoring more than 1 goal a game and we aren't keeping clean sheets either.

Why should the defence and midfield have to be perfect but the front man can be completely shit. If someone has so many chances, every chance missed is like scoring an own goal.

Because even the best teams have to have to grind out tough wins and if you have a chop-and-change back-line that goes wobbly often enough, you're going to struggle. I think there's a reason why you see some teams win things when they are very well organised, even if they don't strike the fear of god with their attacking options.

I don't think anyone is arguing against that, and it's criminal how we couldn't finish more of our chances in the first half. However, if we didn't lose our discipline and produce those defensive brain farts in the 2nd half, we might have been able to nick it or at least come away with a point.

Why cant the attacker stay perfect and scores from the chances presented to him. If we arent creating chances then thats one thing, but Kane had lots of chances to score a hattrick of goals. And he should have. Why not expect the same standard from the striker that we expect from defenders and midfielders. We shouldnt have to keep clean sheets to win games if we are creating so many chances.

So Kane was as responsible for the defeat or more than the defense.

Between an attacker being perfect and the defensive line and shape holding firm, I know what I'd focus on as a realistic priority. I'd wager a guess that more matches end up 1-0 or 2-1 than 7-6 or 5-4.

I guess it could be a tough choice for a CF, Would he like a team geared for his scoring more or would he rather his team play for the title.

Not all matches have to end up 7-6. But we should have won it 3-2 from what the team created if the striker hadnt failed. Unfortunately there were failures by the striker and defence. But kane being shit in a match is as bad as any other player being shit and blame lies with Kane as well.
