Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Yeah...hence the what if...
What if Trippier scored a double hat trick?
What if Moura started and scored?
What if Hugo saved the penalty?
What if Kane started and played his worst ever Spurs game?
What if Kane started and scored the winner?

Only one of those things happened, so the rest is irrelevant. Saying that we could have lost with Moura starting is true, but doesn’t make starting Kane any less of a bad decision.

Yeah I thought VVD was dog shit yesterday.....heading harmless crosses into danger zones all game.
Shows how poor our forwards were....Kane wasn’t in anyone’s pocket, he was nowhere near them, and the one break he got, he dived.
Why can't you just swallow your pride for once and stop spouting absolute bollocks that even surely you yourself don' believe at this stage. Van Dijk was immense yesterday as he has been all season, hasn't been dribbled past ONCE this season and is favourite next to Messi for the Ballon D'or.

I think he’s shit, but sadly our attack was even shitter.
Run along now, this isn’t the time or place to swallow scouse cum. There’s a whole media entity out there for you to go and toss one off.

No one wants to hear you wanking off Liverpool today

I wasn’t for Kane starting, but given how the match went with us being down 2 minutes into the match, in hindsight, starting Kane was the right call. If he had been on the bench during that, I'd honestly call for Poch to put him on immediately. 1-0, Harry can save the day. Going down 2 or 3 nil would have been too much for him against a good Liverpool side. Despite us going down early, I was still surprisedly pretty calm, much of it due to knowing our best player was on the field.

So you just 'think he's shit', whilst totally ignoring the fact no player was able to dribble past him all season and there's every chance he'll be the first defender to win the Ballon D'or since Cannavaro? Honestly how do you expect anyone to take you seriously with opinions like that.

You guys are hilarious.

I guarantee if Kane didn't start, and we lost, you'd be crucifying Poch for not starting one of Europe's top strikers in the biggest game in our history.

It's not even worth debating this point. He had to start. He just didn't do much.

I wanted him subbed off after 20 minutes

But the fact is, the only relevant thing is that Kane was picked...anything else is pure conjecture...

With respect rubbish.

No one I know was saying Kane shouldn't be part of the game but starting him just smelled of not trusting the others.

I do not think Kane should have started but it doesn't matter now and no one can actually say what impact it had.

But Pochettino has to have and find the courage to at times not play Kane, who was not in blistering form even before his injury.

If Kane himself thinks he was worth a start AFTER his performance that in itself is slightly worrying as well.

But Van Dijk, Arnold and Allisson were the difference yesterday.

Hmmmmm......no, its an actual fact that he was ineffectual, out of his depth, and hadnt played a game for two months. And we lost, and our attack was extremely poor, and we played better in the semi and quarters without him.

All facts
How about all those league games we lost with all those players and no Kane? Are they not facts too?

Son has been off it since the Etihad game, should he have started?

We didn't play better in the semis or quarters than last night. Last night we played against a team that sat back and soaked up pressure, which meant we couldn't counter attack as we did against City and Ajax and as we have seen in numerous league games this season we simply don't have the quality to dictate games and pick teams open, especially a team with defenders as good as the dippers. That coupled with us not getting the breaks as we did against Ajax and City meant we lost the game.

Seriously mate I know we're all hurting after last night but you need to get your head out of the sand.

We got past City & Ajax WITHOUT Kane to reach the final. I guarantee no one would complain if he didn't start yesterday especially since he's historically been gash immediately after rushing back from an injury.

I agree on this completely. Fcuk what some but not all the pundits were saying about you start him because he is your best striker.

I also agree that we have not been that good since his absence but he had been out for 2 months.

Some of Pochettino's strength is his loyalty to some players. That may also be his achilles heel.

I am not saying we would have won had Moura started for Kane or Alli but it was an illogical decision to not start the man who proved he can deliver.

One I doubt Moura will ever forgive Pochettino for.
