Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Ive already thought this unfortunately.

Kane wants shearers record and they have a bottomless money pit and need a striker.

Think you are incredibly optimistic if you think he’s staying.

Yep, I hated to admit it but I think last night pretty much confirmed it. Kane isn’t winning anything at this club unfortunately and at 27, he needs to move on and win trophies his outstanding ability deserves. Was he good last night ? Far from it, he was awful. That being said, he’s an outstanding player and an absolute legend at this club. He deserves so much better than what this shit club can offer him. He will go city and we will fall as a football club 100%.

That's what's laughable is people slag him off for not playing well tonight. When the real issue is he shouldn't have had to play at all.

2-0 up and the opposing team manager was in prison. Still Jose, after 18 months didn't have the bollocks to risk starting the game without him. That's an inditement of how poorly he has handled the squad since he's been here.
Fuck me , imagine the furore if he didn’t play and we lost three nil

I just got done binging a bunch of youtube commentary on the loss, the state of Spurs, and so forth and during the Robies Podcast they talked about the look Kane had when we walked off the pitch.

I pointed this out in the game thread as it cought my eye too. He didn't care anymore. He wanted to get changed, get on the plane and go home.

There is a lot of talk about who is the BEST striker in the world right now as Lewendoski and Haaland light it. With all this hype I feel Kane has a massive chip on his shoulder and wants to prove people for once that he is the fucking shit.

He has been the best professional I could ever ask for and he would be a saint to stay for the inevitable rebuild that does need to take place.

Yeah, it is time for Kane to move onto bigger and better things.

He’s been a model player on and off the pitch for a long time and did us a favour by not jumping ship when Poch was sacked but it’s now clearer than ever that we’re not going to win anything of substance in Kane’s career.

Give him his move. Let him win everything there is to win at City. They really will be unstoppable with him up top. Imagine all the goals he’d score in that team.

As for us. Well there’s a rot in our club which needs cutting out. Starting with Mourinho but extending to half the players who either have the wrong mentality or who aren’t good enough.

Ideally ENIC would fuck off and we’d have a completely blank slate with owners who want to invest in the team but that’s not going to happen.

The only reason he will be staying is because a club won't pay what levy will want.
A big fanfare was made a while back when he over took Bobby Smith's in the goal scoring table.
As I said then, Bobby Smith won a league title,2FA Cups ,a European cup winners cup and was part of the history making double winning side.
Kane has won nothing.

That must be playing on his mind.

After that shitshow and a likely mid-table, trophy-less finish, for the first time I think he might ask for a move. Whether it happens or not is quite another thing.

Luckily for us he’s probably missed the boat on a big move. Will be 28 in July and is contracted still til 2024, nobodies shelling out 120+ mil in this climate on someone that age with his injuries history past couple years.

Fully agree. Been saying that he would be butter in that side. Pep with Kane would make City fans forget about Aguero real quick.
Kane going to City would finish Spurs for years.
Do you trust our transfer team to spend the money wisely?
Harry would break the Premier league record within 3 years if he goes to City he would score a minimum of 40 goals a season there and would play many minutes less per season.
Harry thanks for your loyalty now look after yourself and win the honours you deserve.
One last thing Ndombele is reported to be on the same wages as Harry FUCKING CRIMINAL.

I think we all know there is probably a very good chance Kane will be gone in the summer. After the comments on ESPN and his age and yet another rebuild I honestly would wish him well, I think he would be even more devastating with Pep and that team behind him.

For such a great player to end his career trophy-less would be a tragedy.

Part of me wants him to just move on so we can get the pain over and done with as quickly as possible.

:mourcry:

I think Kane to City is the only possible English route but United would also be interested.

Depends on Levy. He won't feel he owes Kane anything, will place a massive fee on his head and would believe that Kane would not want to show disrespect to the fans by forcing the issue.

The only way he stays is if we somehow win the League Cup, which after the last two games seens impossible or if we get a manager in who he respects and the club commit to with a massive outlay.

Kane is not blameless but he is not to blame for the rubbish of the last 2 years.

But it's also a gamble of sorts to buy a player for 100 plus million pounds, who will get injured and who will want to play all of the time.

But it's on the precipice now because no player of quality and worth their salt can want to be part of this.

Strikers of his ability are at a premium which is why Levy won't be losing too much sleep on it.

Kane's contract ends when?

If he leaves, he leaves. Football life goes on. Gazza, Sheringham, Berbatov, Sol Campbell, Modric, Bale all left and life went on.

I’d suspect, he’ll still be around next season. In the current Covid climate, I’d be doubtful the handful of mega rich clubs will be prepared to shell out the kind of money required on an injury prone 28 year old. Mpabbe and Haaland probably bigger targets for those clubs anyway.

All fair points.

Just playing devil's advocate here but what if Kane is on Jose's side in all this?

We have to assume Levy will talk to Kane about the split in the dressing room. What if Harry turns round and says that the players are the problem? That they're not doing what they are told?

What if, and this is a big one, he says he'll stay as long as Jose stays and is allowed to replace the sulkers?

EDIT: Alternatively of course he could turn round and tell Levy he won't sign another contract, knowing that most fans won't blame him for leaving now.

I love Kane but he cannot come before the team.

No-one should but, personally, I don't want Jose sacked just for the same thing to happen to the next manager.

I've said it for weeks - the players are a big part of our problems and it is clear that the squad needs rebuilding. I'd be ok with Jose doing it as long as Kane is onboard and staying.

Personally I'd rather someone fresh completely but was just throwing it out there.

I think Harry knows you don’t come to the league title from being a Europa league failure.

He’s most likely to say “do what you want. Sack him keep him.... I want out. I want to win the champions league, the league. Now is my time. “

“Thanks for trying with Jose but ultimately we failed to win against David Moyes fucking West Ham. That’s it. Im done. I’m out”

That's a lot of what ifs and maybes based on zero indication that is the truth.

I can't see anyway Kane says keep Jose or I am gone, it makes very little sense at all. But if that was the demand then I would say sell Kane. Can't have one person above the club. If his attitude is that, and again I doubt it is, then what is to stop him from coming in later and demanding something else or threatening to leave again.

To me that kind of attitude would show me he is already part way out the door anyways so I would look to move him now.
