Ole is doing, at best, a fine job. The best thing he seems to do is play his best players and not get in the way. I haven’t seen much from him tactically to indicate that he can get them wins when the players are having an off game or the original plan doesn’t go right.
Maybe I am putting too much on a few games and he has had some tactical masterclasses that I am missing but the RB game stands out like a sore thumb that he was clueless when his defensive back 5 was shredded and they crashed out of the CL.
I think he was a good fit for what they needed after the toxicity of Jose and he has got the attitude around the club back up to where you need it, but although they are in 2nd they haven’t shown any indication that under Ole they are close to competing for the title or advancing in the CL.
All the better for scoring loads of goals though.
PSG, Lille, Lyon and Monaco are all better teams than us. The French league is very strong this year.
