Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Firstly congrats to the man. Now into 7th in the all-time Prem scoring charts. Some feat in both senses, if you are into your homophones.

If he stays with us for the rest of his career he will get very close to Sheaerer's record, barring serious injury you would think.

Job for Levy to keep Kane here next season and onto that my dual point.

I think it is absolute rubbish to slate Levy for letting down Kane. He acquired one of the best ever managers in Mourinho, who openly said more than once he had a squad he was happy with. And let us not forget we were top this season and looking strong if not always playing well. Something has seriously gone wrong and if it's mentality or internal friction then Levy can only be blamed for not sacking the manager.

For those who say Kane deserves better then yes okay I kind of get that. For those so called fans who accept or support him moving, what the Fcuk are you on? I mean take a look at yourselves and ask just how that squares.

You moan that we lack ambition, some slate other teams and yet in the same breath you accept Kane could go to City, United or Chelsea. That is the tone of treachery.

I mean Kane could go to any of the above but why the fcuk should Levy let him? What is he after all, some kind of altruist or similar?

We need a new manager that much is obvious but Kane has 3 years left on his contract and that really is that.

Of the players who have gone for world record fees and to my recollection none have been 28. Kane would cost 150 million, 15 million per year in wages and have no resale value. 210 to 225 million pounds because Levy would add contract, worth to club and cost of replacing to any fee and that's after
saying Kane is not for sale.

It's not ideal situation we all lnow that and this season has ultumatelu been pants but Kane leaving is worse than Kane staying on every single metric.

Have not read the article but if that is what it says I agree. You should never sell goal scorers let alone a player of Harry's work ethic Levy needs to do everything to keep him.

SAF advice to a friend was get the best goalkeeper you can and the best CF. More than anything they are the hardest to get but what you should prioritise.

Those two players alone will win you points/matches over the course of a season.

And in a league campaign those points add up.

he now has 219 goals in all competitions for us. He'll score 3-5 more this season. He stays with us for one more season, scores 51 goals in all comps, breaks Clive's record and Jimmy's. It's in the stars

The investment in this squad needed to get it up to a standard worthy of the best striker in world football is astronomical. I think it's safe to say enic will not be putting that sort of money into the club. People take him being a spurs lad for granted and if he truly becomes unhappy and disillusioned with the club you will not get the best out of him and you won't have a happy player.

Interesting cuz those are the 2 players that I'd say played the best yesterday and the game against Newcastle too.

Actually thought his passing was way off last night but he made up for it with the goals!
Number 7 in the charts. Will be number 3 by the end of next season.
Edit: Aguero's whereabouts next season may change the positions.

What a player. Awful timing to come along when we have enic & levy in charge. Under them its another season without CL football & looking up at west ham. Shame player power only goes as far as getting the coach fired.

For those of us who remember that football actually existed before the premier league

Yeh - I thought that after (insert hero).

Great player, tho - but there will be another as good - maybe even better. Bale, for me, in recent years, was objectively better as he transformed more games. I’d probably put a shout in for VdV being on a par in the deeper position, too. I think Kane may look better because of where we were when we couldn’t even buy a goal during the cold seasons after losing Keane, Berba etcetera.
I love all the players you have mentioned I still think None can carry Kanes water. Look at where we have been competing with his goals as the spear. Way beyond where Bale VDV Berbatov had us.

“(Told Spurs fans would be anxious about Kane’s injury) Yeah, me too but I think it’s too early. I think it’s too early to say something. For him to leave the pitch at 2-2 with a couple of minutes to go is obviously because he felt something. Let me be optimistic and believe he has time to recover. Let’s see.” – Jose Mourinho

I watched a short clip on YouTube about Mourinho’s relationship with Drogba. It is absolutely clear that Jose wants players that give their all at all times for the club and teammates. Passion.

Being honest, we only have a few of those types of players at Spurs. Kane and Lucas for sure. Maybe a couple of others. Don’t think that’s enough to win important trophies. The squad hasn’t had the right mentality to win.

I am not saying this to excuse Jose. I just think we have to be honest about the players we have.

We have a world-class forward line and a decent midfield, at least on paper. Look at what Moyes is getting from his West Ham squad. Mourinho is a bomb scare of a manager for us, plain and simple.
