Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I don’t remember Carr doing that, aside from him saying Newcastle were a bigger club than us I don’t have much memory of Carr at all. What happened ? Steroids ?
Not a clue: he just turned up with a shaven head and buff as anything. I think he just overdid it in the gym, tbf - of course, it might have been the strip we had at the time: one of those skintight kappa efforts, iirc.

Firstly congrats to the man. Now into 7th in the all-time Prem scoring charts. Some feat in both senses, if you are into your homophones.

If he stays with us for the rest of his career he will get very close to Sheaerer's record, barring serious injury you would think.

Job for Levy to keep Kane here next season and onto that my dual point.

I think it is absolute rubbish to slate Levy for letting down Kane. He acquired one of the best ever managers in Mourinho, who openly said more than once he had a squad he was happy with. And let us not forget we were top this season and looking strong if not always playing well. Something has seriously gone wrong and if it's mentality or internal friction then Levy can only be blamed for not sacking the manager.

For those who say Kane deserves better then yes okay I kind of get that. For those so called fans who accept or support him moving, what the Fcuk are you on? I mean take a look at yourselves and ask just how that squares.

You moan that we lack ambition, some slate other teams and yet in the same breath you accept Kane could go to City, United or Chelsea. That is the tone of treachery.

I mean Kane could go to any of the above but why the fcuk should Levy let him? What is he after all, some kind of altruist or similar?

We need a new manager that much is obvious but Kane has 3 years left on his contract and that really is that.

Of the players who have gone for world record fees and to my recollection none have been 28. Kane would cost 150 million, 15 million per year in wages and have no resale value. 210 to 225 million pounds because Levy would add contract, worth to club and cost of replacing to any fee a d that's after
saying Kane is not for sale.

It's not ideal situation we all lnow that and this season has ultumatelu been pants but Kane leaving is worse than Kane staying on every single metric.

We have a world-class forward line and a decent midfield, at least on paper. Look at what Moyes is getting from his West Ham squad. Mourinho is a bomb scare of a manager for us, plain and simple.
Like I said, I am not defending Jose. He hasn’t done enough with this squad. Having said that, I am clear that as a whole the squad doesn’t have the mentality to win big trophies. It has plenty of talent. Not good enough mentality.

I think the one club man value is really under appreciated nowadays.

For me Kane staying at Tottenham for the rest of his career certainly isn't a bad thing (in terms of his rep) and most certainly isn't out of the question.

Stay at Tottenham, become our record goalscorer, become the record Premier League goal scorer, keep hero status at a club where the fans adore him and isn't going to get criticised.

Don't get me wrong, I think trophies are massive thing in football but I don't think his career would be tarnished by staying with us like the media like to make out.

He's also one of those players who is so suited to us, I have a fear that if he went to another club he wouldn't have the same impact and wouldn't be respected. We've seen the same with other strikers in the past. Robbie Keane leaving Tottenham for Liverpool was a prime example.

You're seriously delusional if you think Kane is going to be happy staying here.

He wants to play in the big Champions League games.

Sadly I think he wants out. Would David Bowie have wanted to spend his days touring the Cornish coast with The Wurzels?

Imagine being at the apex of your game, widely respected throughout the world and looking on as your fellow super elite ballers are stirring it up in the CL. You're watching your team mates cake away in front of you and there's a decent chance that this tinpot Europa Conference league is going to be your destination. It would be the worst itch in the world.

I think this Champions League pull is a load of tosh at t8kes I really do.

And frankly two teams out of the big 6 don't qualify each year.

For the second time in 6 years we have failed to get there. This year we/he had two chances to return so tough doughnuts.

Yeah, I used to think this too. Then j started talking to people in the real world who have nothing to do with Spurs and realised that it's a complete disaster for his reputation. On a semi-regular basis, I hear people talking about how Kane isn't good enough for some of the elite clubs, which all stems from his current position. If his career ends in a similar place to where it is now, his legacy is going to be strange and he's going to become very underrated outside of Spurs fans.

Weren't you one of the people who wanted to sell Kane before it became trendy? Apologies if I'm wrong but I seem to recall debating it with you ages ago.

Pundits and Media “experts” can say or write whatever they like about Kane, all this stuff about he needs this or he needs that blah blah blah, it’s their pathetic journalistic jobs at the end of the day.....
Truth is no one only Kane and maybe his family know what he’s thinking, he has 6 years at best as a top class footballer playing at the highest level, and yes his window of that one “big move” will close this summer or next, but maybe Kane has other goals in life , like becoming his boyhood teams greatest player of all time? And winning just one title, just one with Spurs would mean more to him than 3 or 4 la Liga’s or that French title bollocks one, all with an outside chance of maybe a CL....But those clubs won’t remember Kane amongst their history of legend players, to be a legend at say Madrid you must do the unthinkable over a long period of time, like Ramos or Ronaldo, Jesus Bale won 3 or 4 CL’s with them and they hate him.....
This guy Shearer, holder of the ultimate record Kane hunts, only won one major trophy in his entire career, but is regarded as one of the greats of the game....
Kane deserve a major honour no doubt, it would be unjust for him not to win at least one, but maybe Kane craves that in a Spurs shirt more than anything else......One 30 league goal season from Kane and a decent return from his support cast might be enough to win a league title over the next 3 to 5 years....maybe!!

Yes mate.

Kane gains absolute and unequivocal legend status by staying with us and breaking Shearer's record.

Does he not play for England as captain or am I missing something and do they not play in finals?

We will be on a rebuild but I see no reason for Kane to chase glory elsewhere.

Either way this is academic.

When Levy says 150 million to enter the lobby that will be the end of that.

Yes we do get to most international finals, but everything that happens there we shouldn’t let tarnish Kane’s record...

So we keep that quite🤫🤫😂😂

Fact of the matter is though, Kane has three years left on his contract and Daniel Levy as a negotiator in his potential transfer. Look how stubborn Levy was with Eriksen, no way does Levy sell Kane easy. He's the number 1 asset and after the performances of the team this season, if we sold Kane there would be uproar within and around the club, not to mention the damage it would do to the reputation of the club.

Unless someone comes along and offers us "can't say no money" like Bale going the first time around.

Hopefully if we do sell Kane we won't go out and panic sign 7 players at the last minute again.
