Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

So you would be happy to end your career with potentially no silverware to look back on? That's not the mentality of a footballer.

Do you seriously think he'd be happy looking back in 20 years time at no trophies, no medals but he was Spurs top scorer ever? I don't.
Fair comment.
But its also fair to say, they we wont have anywhere near as fond memories of the bloke.
I am sure he will learn to live with that fact.I will.

If we were in Harry's shoes, we'd all be doing the same thing, let's be honest.

If I'm in a job where I feel I'm stagnating, and get offered the chance to move to a company where I can achieve more, and get more money whilst doing so, I'd move. It's the same thing.

Of course he'd rather win it all with Spurs, but we're as far away as we were pre Poch to doing that. He needs to leave for the sake of his career, and I don't blame him.

Spurs have failed him.

Not with season still going on and important games left to play! I don't think anyone is seriously saying he shouldn't consider his options... after the fucking season is finished and not right before the last home game! When the fans are finally returning to boot. This is the issue for many and what will taint his legacy greatly. No one expected him to OK his representatives to feed stories to the media the way they have, to journalists and organisations that have a history of being disrespectful to the club. I almost feel grief over it, or more accurately a realisation that the person I thought he was never actually existed,

True. but I think this might just come down to economics.

I don't see City really pushing it, or getting near Levy's valuation. UTD I can.

Anyway, who knows. Maybe Levy will just put his foot down full stop.
If Levy is to do this he needs to make a statement and include his ambitions and some kind of plan while announcing a Manager this limbo we are in at the moment is not helping the club.

I might be wrong but if he asks to leave he doesn't get a % of the transfer fee, if he doesn't ask he's gets something?
That's how I understand it, though that could be just from Football Manager, or outdated, or it could be specific to individual contracts.

But I'm pretty sure if he officially requests a move he foregoes something, and gets added to the mythical excel transfer spreadsheet list...

I don't wish Kane any harm wherever he goes,I just won't give a shit what he does.
I support Spurs and someone else will turn up for me to cheer.

He just said a big F U to the fans so why give him a send off. He did this 3 days before fans could go to the games again after being locked inside for the last year. If he came out and said his love for the club and that Daniel Levy did not match his ambition and handed in a transfer request, I could take it. He has not done that he has leaked to Sky Sports that he wants to leave to win trophies. He could of left with his head held high but he has not done that he is trying to do it in such a snide way. I have much more respect for Danny Rose who was willing to criticise the clubs ambition outright when it comes to signing players or the way Eriksen(Not the timing) came out and said he felt he needed a new challenge than what Kane has done. The fact is if he did it the honorable way he would of lost out on cash and proves that he is a merc.
So when exactly did he himself leak or allow to be leaked this decision. No cunt has any proof he allowed it to be leaked. I'm sure he has had chats with his management about leaving sure but I do not believe for 1 second he leaked or knew this would be leaked so let's wait for the facts before we decide to slag off one of our greatest ever players.

Ffs I admire your loyalty, but this is living in denial.
His brother is in charge of the agency who represent him, CK66.

If Levy has reneged on a gentleman's agreement to let him leave this Summer, then it's only to be expected that Kane's camp would leak comments to the press.

Loyalty works both ways. He's signed long term contracts to ensure we get the biggest bang for our buck. He's made his intentions clear and he really is at the stage where he needs to move, to win stuff.

Sad, but inevitable.

Also no transfer request, guess he has too much respect for the club than to forego his loyalty bonuses...
Two things.

For now and remember he loses money by submitting a transfer request.

Once City tell him they will pay all and everything then Hmmm.m....

But Guardiola absolutely wants Kane and it's whether Levy says fcuk off full stop or fcuk off, comma.

I think our lack of a full-time manager is unhelpful in that regard.

I don't get the timing. Even if he didn't instigate it his silence is deafening. Could have just waited for the season to finish.
Either he gets a move, or he piles pressure on Levy to splash the cash and we have a decent team to surround Kane with next season.

Keeping quiet, exercising patience, and staying respectful hasn't exactly worked out in his favor. In fact, some might feel that it has given cover to Levy to do nothing and apologize for even less.

It isn't loyalty. It isn't fanboi shit. I have never experienced him doing anything shady ever in his pro or public life so I can give him the benefit of the doubt right?

I'm sure someone leaked it but that's on his brother or the agency. Not him.

He gains nothing by not waiting until after the last day of the season so why does he choose now of all times to leak and be a cunt? Like I said on another post yesterday, I'll happily admit I was wrong, it just doesn't seem like a Harry thing to do and until o know for sure, I'm not gonna cunt him off as I love the chap. If he did leak it then I'm gonna be so disappointed but also wonder why he felt he had to leak it...

Yep, completely fcuking stupid and also if it impacts his Euro performance he will get slaughtered.

I am content that we sell a player that does not give his all but only ever if we can secure players who a new manager can mould to make us competitive.

As of now we are so lacking in goals it woukd consign us to real trouble in my opinion.

No one knows he did okay it. You've heard of leaks and confidential informants etc right? Way more likely to come from someone in the organisation.
