Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Either he gets a move, or he piles pressure on Levy to splash the cash and we have a decent team to surround Kane with next season.

My suspicion is that Kane was always wanting to leave this Summer. Jose was a final role of the dice, a 'Trophy winner' to go out on a high, but Levy has known this was coming. Sky dress this up as high drama, but the club will have been well aware of what Harry's plans are.

Might be why the manager search is taking so long. We're selling a new long term project without Kane and brining in the right people to make sure we lay strong foundations.

If he goes I hope he hates life at that plastic club, with their shit rented stadium and their new generation of plastic fans, I hope he doesn't fit into the team, I hope he flops big time, I hope Nathan Ake takes a steaming dump in his kit bag, I will take pleasure in every sitter he ever misses and when he does click I will be annoyed by every goal he gets, I will take no pleasure at all in seeing him win trophies, quite the opposite in fact.

I'm fully aware that this is petty, but I don't care, by joining that club he becomes part of the problem, strengthening the scum that already hoover up most of the silverware before them and weakening the rest of the league.

And if he ever rejoins us like Klinsmann, Sheringham, Keane, Bale, Kaboul and Chimbonda before him, I will be his biggest fan again I'm sure.

Ok im now under the impression that he could have waited until the end of the season, rather than getting his brother to leak some story about him wanting to go when the season hasnt even ended, this is exactly what happened with Walker so my guess is Kane wants to go City.
What a cunt!

Kane leaves to win silverware.

Spurs win the Europa and FA Cup next season.

Would you take it?
Club first, always. That Harry’s one of our own is a great story and something we’re all proud of, but we want to win as a club and keeping Harry is primarily to help with that. If we need to find a way without him and can really do it, we should have no problem with that.

If Levy has reneged on a gentleman's agreement to let him leave this Summer, then it's only to be expected that Kane's camp would leak comments to the press.

Loyalty works both ways. He's signed long term contracts to ensure we get the biggest bang for our buck. He's made his intentions clear and he really is at the stage where he needs to move, to win stuff.

Sad, but inevitable.
We've not even reached the summer! How can any agreement have been reneged upon yet?

Anyone slagging the club off for not letting him leave might want to hold off until someone has actually made a bid, and see if any forthcoming bid is actually reasonable.

A gentleman’s agreement? He’s 3 years into a 6 year contract. Why would Levy have had to enter into a gentleman’s agreement?

Looking on the bright side, Levy must have hundreds of agents on the blower today, all these strikers who refused to come to spurs as they didnt want to be No2 behind Kane must be loving this news! :levywhoa:

Not slagging the club off at all.

It's Levy's decision. Three years on his contract, completely up to us where he plays for the next three years. But he's a depreciating asset now.

He's 28 and the club is going backwards faster than the plot of Tenet mate. Unless Levy going insane this summer and gets Pep from Shitty and signs 300m of talent Kane, IMO should go if he wants to win anything.
Haha, good reference!

However, only two clubs were out of reach this season: the two richest clubs in world football. Our current peers were all there for the taking, but either everyone was having a shit season (can understand, to be fair), all the other clubs were doing well, or we were under-achieving.

I'm not that worried, I think Levy has a fired under his arse and we'll see some action. If not, then let's buckle down for a rough ride for a few years.

To get Kane to resign, to maintain his market value. Now, of course, Kane gets a higher wage, but when these discussions take place, the club will obviously be made aware of what the player wants long term. We obviously don't make use of release clauses so much in the UK. but they fulfil that requirement on the continent (where I believe they are a legal requirement? Happy to be corrected).

If Kane goes to City as proposed by most then he is part of the problem, look at the uproar of about the Super league, but then who is in the Champions league final? Man city - Oil FC vs Chavs the Russian Mafia, 2 clubs financially doped yet you dont hear fuck all from the media as "its good for football" is it fuck good for football these teams are only at the top as financial fair play means fuck all in todays game! Anyone who chooses to go to one of them clubs cant have any morals, is winning the premier league with this Man City team something to be proud about and tell the grandkids in 30 years time?
If you want to be a true great and legend in the game then stay at Spurs, if you win something with us it will mean so much more, but if you are to scared and want it handed to you on a plate then by all means fuck off , the badge on the front is and always will be bigger than the name on the back!
But mate, Harry is now 28, he has spent his whole career up to now trying to do things the right way and win trophies at a club which hasn't been financially doped. He is not a 21 year old with his whole career ahead of him and deciding to take the easy option of joining an oil rich club. He really is already a legend, he has shown loyalty and dedication to the project here, despite the new stadium build, having to play home games at Wembley, reduced investment in the team, rubbish recruitment. How much more sacrifice and loyalty do we want from him. Yes he has been financially rewarded very well for just kicking a ball about and scoring shitloads of goals but he could have got the same money for doing the exact same thing at other clubs

How about in 30 years time his grandkids ask him where his medals are, what did he win when playing football, or ask why cunts like Vardy, Salah, Aguero, Henry etc all have pics and videos with winners medals round their necks and Harry doesn't. Harry will answer by saying that he helped build Tottenham into a top 4 challenging club, played through the transition of old WHL to NWHL, he helped grow the profile and brand that enabled the owners to eventually sell the club for billions so that the families and future generations of the owners lived lives of pure luxury that many of the fans can only dream of. I can only imagine how proud his grandkids will be

Also even if he joins City I can guarantee no success will be handed to him on a plate. He will be working for one of the best managers who demands players push themselves beyond their limits to be better and contribute to the team. Yes it's easier to be successful with City than with Spurs but they don't win everything every year, so there will always be other teams that beat them to titles and trophies and that will mean any success they do have will mean something and won't be as hollow as many try to make out.

What we are asking is for Harry to stay and just drift along until he retires while cunts like Levy and Hitchen run the footballing side of the club into nowhere with their dumb player recruitment and dubious managerial hirings and firings. Honestly if I could see that we had a plan, that we were extremely well run and the players we were buying had amazing potential and were performing to the highest level and there were clear signs that we were on the brink of challenging for the title then Id hope Harry would stick around. But come on, we are a fucking shambles and the worse thing in all this is that Harry will leave but we will be left with Levy, Lewis and Hitchen. Sad.

Keeping quiet, exercising patience, and staying respectful hasn't exactly worked out in his favor. In fact, some might feel that it has given cover to Levy to do nothing and apologize for even less.

Don't agree entirely.

Ndombele was hardly a Poundland signing and nor was Lo Celso.

Question our choices maybe more than question our expenditure.
