Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I don't get the timing. Even if he didn't instigate it his silence is deafening. Could have just waited for the season to finish.
I'd wager that he would be heading off to the Euros the day after the Euros finishes, remember when we finished below Woolwich and Poch didn't actually see the team until the next season? It's not like we are in a Champions League battle. IMO he's stayed a lot longer than most modern footballers would have, he stayed until after Poch's project, and then for Mourinho's failed project. There's no point coming out and saying anything, because if he says he's staying he is probably lying and if he says his going City can screw us over with a transfer fee. It's much harder to get a player if the club is saying he's going nowhere, wouldn't surprise me if the club has told him to stay silent.

If Spurs had showed the ambition needed, we wouldn’t be in this position. Kane wouldn’t be angling for a move as he would be at a club competing for major honours. We don’t win trophies and you can dance around with your Spurs hat on all you like, but other top clubs spend the money and invest in their squads to win trophies, hence why the Liverpool’s, United’s and City’s of this world completely dwarf this club. This is the fault of our incompetent owners and our tight ass chairman who have adopted this lowest net spend for so long now and finally its bit them in the ass. I don’t blame Harry one bit. He said before if spurs weren’t going in the right direction, he would be open to move. He bloody warned us. Now we are a shambles on and off the field and you got supporters on here who have got the cheek to cunt off Harry for it ? Blame your bald master. He’s the one that’s put us in this mess. A fancy stadium with absolutely fuck all to show for it

If he goes I hope he hates life at that plastic club, with their shit rented stadium and their new generation of plastic fans, I hope he doesn't fit into the team, I hope he flops big time, I hope Nathan Ake takes a steaming dump in his kit bag, I will take pleasure in every sitter he ever misses and when he does click I will be annoyed by every goal he gets, I will take no pleasure at all in seeing him win trophies, quite the opposite in fact.

I'm fully aware that this is petty, but I don't care, by joining that club he becomes part of the problem, strengthening the scum that already hoover up most of the silverware before them and weakening the rest of the league.

And if he ever rejoins us like Klinsmann, Sheringham, Keane, Bale, Kaboul and Chimbonda before him, I will be his biggest fan again I'm sure.
I’m a bit like that too. I’d be more indifferent as to how his career goes once he leaves as opposed to willing him to fail. I don’t get this school of thought that’s been out there for a while - ‘Harry is too good for us, we don’t deserve him, he needs for his own good to go to a club where he will win medals...blah, blah, blah....

I follow the club, not the cult of personality. Tottenham Hotspur will go on and eventually prosper again I’m sure and win some silverware just like it has done in my time following them after Steve Archibald, Glenn Hoddle, Clive Allen, Chris Waddle, Paul Gascoigne, Gary Lineker, Teddy Sheringham, Sol Campbell, Dimitar Berbatov, Robbie Keane, Gareth Bale and Luka Modric all left.

But mate, Harry is now 28, he has spent his whole career up to now trying to do things the right way and win trophies at a club which hasn't been financially doped. He is not a 21 year old with his whole career ahead of him and deciding to take the easy option of joining an oil rich club. He really is already a legend, he has shown loyalty and dedication to the project here, despite the new stadium build, having to play home games at Wembley, reduced investment in the team, rubbish recruitment. How much more sacrifice and loyalty do we want from him. Yes he has been financially rewarded very well for just kicking a ball about and scoring shitloads of goals but he could have got the same money for doing the exact same thing at other clubs

How about in 30 years time his grandkids ask him where his medals are, what did he win when playing football, or ask why cunts like Vardy, Salah, Aguero, Henry etc all have pics and videos with winners medals round their necks and Harry doesn't. Harry will answer by saying that he helped build Tottenham into a top 4 challenging club, played through the transition of old WHL to NWHL, he helped grow the profile and brand that enabled the owners to eventually sell the club for billions so that the families and future generations of the owners lived lives of pure luxury that many of the fans can only dream of. I can only imagine how proud his grandkids will be

Also even if he joins City I can guarantee no success will be handed to him on a plate. He will be working for one of the best managers who demands players push themselves beyond their limits to be better and contribute to the team. Yes it's easier to be successful with City than with Spurs but they don't win everything every year, so there will always be other teams that beat them to titles and trophies and that will mean any success they do have will mean something and won't be as hollow as many try to make out.

What we are asking is for Harry to stay and just drift along until he retires while cunts like Levy and Hitchen run the footballing side of the club into nowhere with their dumb player recruitment and dubious managerial hirings and firings. Honestly if I could see that we had a plan, that we were extremely well run and the players we were buying had amazing potential and were performing to the highest level and there were clear signs that we were on the brink of challenging for the title then Id hope Harry would stick around. But come on, we are a fucking shambles and the worse thing in all this is that Harry will leave but we will be left with Levy, Lewis and Hitchen. Sad.
You and Fattynomates Fattynomates both make great points, I agreed with both of your posts, it's a difficult situation.

We do invest though, it's just we invest in absolute shite! Do we even have a recruitment team and scouts or does Levy just pick names out of a hat?

i know what you mean, but our net spend is pathetic. We don’t really spend because we are constantly balancing the books. Roman abramovich will go out and spend 80 mil
On a top player and not even think twice about it. He spends so chelsea can continuously be successful. Big clubs do this and Spurs seem to think we are some elite club, so why are so different ? We fumble around transfer windows and barely get our targets in. We are a shambles and our pathetic trophy haul is proof of that.

I just wish we had a better recruitment system and scouts in place so that we would invest this money wisely and actually end up stronger from it, i think the reason so many of us are angry is because we know we will buy shite, and end up mid table again! I will be gutted if Harry goes dont get me wrong, but i just never saw him as the type to go to a plastic club! He is adored at spurs, by real fans, he is in for a huge shock if he goes to city!

If Kane goes to City as proposed by most then he is part of the problem, look at the uproar of about the Super league, but then who is in the Champions league final? Man city - Oil FC vs Chavs the Russian Mafia, 2 clubs financially doped yet you dont hear fuck all from the media as "its good for football" is it fuck good for football these teams are only at the top as financial fair play means fuck all in todays game! Anyone who chooses to go to one of them clubs cant have any morals, is winning the premier league with this Man City team something to be proud about and tell the grandkids in 30 years time?
If you want to be a true great and legend in the game then stay at Spurs, if you win something with us it will mean so much more, but if you are to scared and want it handed to you on a plate then by all means fuck off , the badge on the front is and always will be bigger than the name on the back!
Been saying this since the super league story broke. Gary Never and all the othe hypocritical jokers lauding Headchopper FC and State sanctioned Bio terrorism United. If Kane wants blood diamonds I mean blood medals..Good luck to him. Lecister City and Liverpool are the last two actual winners of anything in this country.
