Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Kane is and will remain a Tottenham legend, regardless of what happens now.

Some of the abuse being dished out is embarrassing.

Not in my eyes, if he wants to be a legend at this club the FIRST thing he needs to do is respect it.

He's behaving like a cunt quite frankly, a spoiled bratty cunt.

Doesnt deserve legend status, I don't care how many personal records he breaks or goals he has scored for us, his behaviour right now is shitting on his own legacy and more importantly, shitting on this football club and there isn't a single player in world football that is bigger than the club I love.

None of us would have an issue with him leaving but the way he has gone about it is disgraceful.

MCFC Supporter here in peace.

Stating the obvious: we are hoping for different outcomes in this transfer saga and our perspectives from our differing vantage points will cause us to see this series of events (and non-events) in very contrasting ways.

But I have my own theory of how this has played out (and still is) and wonder if you might grant that it is at least possible or even plausible at this point?

So in March, MCFC announce that their time with Aguero will be coming to an end when his contract wound down this summer. Many people had presumed that this would be the case, but it seemed a bizarre and risky thing to go trumpeting to the football world.
Then word gets out through Aguero, the Chairman and others that City would be replacing him in the summer. Surely a club as ruthlessly efficient in business and transfers wouldn't telegraph a weakness like that to clubs that they'd be seeking to purchase from?
Also, this would be the sort of very large value transfer that would have a lot of moving parts and loose ends to sew up. Doesn't seem the sort of thing to just get thrown together late in the window before the deadline.
Then amongst all of the speculation and chatter, City and Kane never squash the rumors.
Then City loan out Delap and sell Nmecha.
Think whatever you will of City, but they aren't complete fools who'd do that without thinking that they have a deal made.

I think that the deal was made. Pre-Aguero announcement. They knew that they had a player who'd be receptive. City always approach the player first. They knew what the number was going to be to purchase him too and they were okay with it. Kane knew too and the extended-holidays were always part of the plan as soon as the schedule was released. THFC won't be fining him. His sitting out was always going to happen and it allows all parties to not have an acrimonious day on the 15th.

Perhaps I'm wrong and your owner issues a flat rejection statement. Perhaps Kane apologizes, comes grovelling back kissing the badge all the way.

We'll know for sure soon.

It’s easy to be revisionist, but when was Harry pushing himself to drag the team on? He didn’t even really look exasperated like Hugo or Sonny by the end of the season; not even incredulous like Bale or Dele. Perhaps we’ve all been mistaking ‘he keeps himself to himself’ for ‘he looks down on his team-mates’?

if he does go to City, it will be interesting to see if / how he fits in as clearly (from Euros), neither Sterling nor Foden can pass to a striker…
Sterling won’t start 10 PL games, he’s done.

He’s definitely done here now. He’s turned the whole fan base against him. Trouble is, selling him makes us look so weak whatever figure we get for him. If Man City don’t offer a minimum of £160m we cant sell but probably will do.

The squad needs the cash injection too. Imagine the first XI players we could get with that kind of money.

If he gets his move with these tactics, he won't be a legend in my eyes.

This comes down to loyalty.

If he goes to Man City, I hope he fails in his quest to win 'trophies' at a plastic club which won't appreciate him.

Stay at Tottenham where you're already a legend despite not winning anything. Why should you care what others think?

I get ridiculed all the time for supporting Tottenham but I still do it. Every season.

There is more to your post than that.
Ohhhh. The clown part? Here's live footage of Kane in Disneyworld. See. He is a clown.

To the tune of 'My Old Man's A Dustman':

Oh Harry played for Tottenham
They sang ' one of our own'
But when City came tapping
It gave him such a bone

But City were just teasing
And won't pay what Kane's worth
He wouldn't play, and stayed away
On a wanky tour of Earth!
