I'd feel he'd sold himself very cheap. Even Grealish had a £100m clause. I'd have expected at least £150m, wouldn't you?
Agreed. Crispin just seems to be one of those people who support an individual, not a club.Because he’s one of those Kane fans who follows the player not a club.
He’s about as big a Spurs fan as Arsene Wenger is.
look you can write all the damning paragraphs about him but do you think he gives a fuck? A footballers career is 10-12 years at best. Time is running out and Harry wants to get a few medals on the shelf before his times up. Football isn’t about loyalty any more. None of this is personal for Harry, it’s only business.
Or those on the Son threadAgreed. Crispin just seems to be one of those people who support an individual, not a club.
No different to the merry band of bellends that signed up when Jose joined the club then left when he got sacked.
But City haven't offered 140 million. They offered a 100,and havent came back. And yesterday, pep made a statement saying it was down to us to get back in touch with them.we have to be realistic. I initially thought that when city offered 120m for him we’d get maybe 140m.
I think in the current climate that’s about right. Harry’s great and been great but it’s clear we need to rebuild. Levy tacking on 20m on top of that is just laughable.
so we get the worst of both worlds. A player who will have a troubled mind all season, angry at the chairman for lying to him. Fans looking like idiots as they cheer him after snake and cunt jibes. And then next season provided he’s not injured we sell him for probably a lot less than 140m.
A wasted season. Resentment everywhere.
the smart chairman would have said thanks for a fantastic ten years you will always be a legend and welcome here while pocketing 140m for a player who is statistically due an injury pretty soon.
what you think is right money wise is different to what I think for the reasons given above.
And that coming from ‘a grown man’!I'm okay with being deemed childish, if it's coming from you. Twice now, you've gone and ended the same point with "It's that simple" and "Simple as that".
Now, THAT is childish and an argumentive point from someone not used to talking to people outside of forums. It's just another way of saying, I'm clearly right and if you cannot see it, you must be thick. It's arrogant, and I do understand now, how you're seeing a kindred spirit in Kane.
Its not about the pace so much as the sharpness. Look back at his 2015- 18 goals and form. He also used to close down from the from more when we pressed. He just had more about him imo. Not saying he's finished and i think he has at least 2 more seasons showing last years sort of form. Just think its the time to sell at the right price or we'll all be talking about him leaving in 12 months time. Not sure Kane has never been quick and players without pace like Teddy, Scholes and Terry go on for ages at the top. Long as he looks after himself he could be decent for a while. Obviously City will need fast players around him but they can afford that.
Still at this point £130m and Silva or Laporte I might accept.

Thats not how it works. And as for a player with a troubled mind, we have a world cup next year.I think someone as single minded as Kane would manage to perform well enough with that in mind. Both for his Engalnd career and to keep us and the club happy.
Not sure why you want something that in essence is doing a premiership rival a massive favour. Not for me!If City want him, then they pay what he is worth and its them that set the benchmark on this one by paying a 100 million for Grealish.
As one of our American cousins said on the subject a week or so ago ,City need to shit or get off the pot.
The ad hominem attacks on me are hilarious and just shows the level of dimwits this forum attracts.
People can have different opinions and not be abused.
cum on guys. You’re better than this.
Did think he'd never got a hattrick against City...
City have not bid above £100m yet why should we take less than Kane is worth when they just paid £20-25 million more than Jack Grealish is worth.we have to be realistic. I initially thought that when city offered 120m for him we’d get maybe 140m.

No one supports the business.No. Levy is damaging the football team - the important bit to most of us. He is rightly criticised for that.
Arguably, the club from a business point of view couldn't be in better hands which is why Kane is in the bind he's in.
Nope, not this year. I think the three years remaining are crucial to the whole thing. Next year? Much more likely but as the clock ticks down the power shifts from club to player.
Did think he'd never got a hattrick against City.........only 2 in his career against them. He gets 3 this season for them against us, he'd of got more against us for them in one season, than against them in ten years.....

He increases his chances of winning the two “bigger” trophies. He guarantees nothing. He has more chance of winning things at a big club than with us.
We lack the ambition he has. Simple as that.
I can see no reason why his salary shouldn’t be commensurate to his peers that are in the bracket of top ten players in the world. Would you say Lewandoski or Haarland should take a pay cut to move?
People have become too emotional about this. It makes sense to sell him for the player and the club. He can’t go any further with us and we are skint. It should have been a friendly parting but Levy can’t do normal.
The melting on here is amusing but it’s more embarrassing tbh. People posting gifs of snakes saying it’s Kane. Calling him a cunt etc. Saying he should play for 50p was particularly good.
Very poor and childlike behaviour.
